في أجواء مليئة بالحماس والتفاعل، نظّمت مدرسة السلطان ملتقى معلمات التعليم المبكر، بمشاركة مديرة التعليم المبكر وعدد من مشرفات وزارة التربية والتعليم، في لقاء هدف إلى تبادل الخبرات واستكشاف أفكار وممارسات تعليمية مبتكرة. واشتمل الملتقى على ثلاث ورش تدريبية متخصصة: - الدكتورة ناجية الكعبية: «توجيه سلوك الطفل». - الأستاذة مي التميمي: «مختبر ابتكار الأركان التعليمية: من الدهشة إلى الاكتشاف». - الأستاذة سلسبيل: «وسائل متعددة في بيئة تعليمية متجددة». وتنوّعت التجارب بين اللعب والتجريب والتحديات العملية، مما أتاح للمعلمات فرصة التفاعل وتبادل الأفكار واستكشاف أساليب جديدة تثري بيئات التعلم وتدعم نمو الأطفال. فالتعلم في سنوات الطفولة المبكرة يبدأ بالفضول، وينمو بالتجربة، ويزدهر بالإبداع. كل الشكر والتقدير لجميع الحاضرات والمشاركات، ولكل من أسهم في إنجاح هذا الملتقى التربوي الملهم. The Sultan’s School hosted its Early Years Teachers’ Forum in an engaging and interactive atmosphere, welcoming the Director of Early Childhood Education and a number of Ministry of Education supervisors. The forum provided a valuable opportunity to exchange expertise, explore innovative teaching approaches and share ideas that enrich early years learning environments. The programme featured three specialised workshops: - Dr Najia Al Kaabiya: Guiding Children’s Behaviour - Mai Al Taimimi: The Learning Corners Innovation Lab: From Wonder to Discovery - Salsabeel: A Variety of Resources in a Dynamic Learning Environment Through hands-on activities, playful exploration and practical challenges, teachers actively engaged in sharing ideas and discovering new ways to make learning more meaningful and inspiring for young children. Because in the early years, learning begins with curiosity, grows through exploration and flourishes through creativity. شارك 15 طالبًا من أعضاء مجلس طلبة المرحلة الثانوية في النسخة الثانية من يوم تطوير المهارات القيادية، والذي أُقيم في فندق معاني، وتضمن مجموعة من الأنشطة التفاعلية والجماعية التي ركزت على تنمية مهارات القيادة والذكاء العاطفي والعمل بروح الفريق. كما تم استضافة خريج المدرسة الفاضل فارون كيمجي، الذي شارك الطلبة رحلته في القيادة، مستعرضًا أبرز المحطات والتجارب التي أسهمت في مسيرته، إلى جانب تقديم نصائح قيّمة حول النجاح والتطور. شكّل اليوم فرصة مميزة لطلبتنا لتعزيز قدراتهم القيادية، وتبادل الأفكار، واستكشاف سبل إحداث تغيير إيجابي في مجتمعهم المدرسي. Our Secondary Student Council members took part in the second Student Leadership Development Day at Maani Hotel, exploring emotional intelligence, teamwork and effective leadership. The day also featured an inspiring talk by TSS alumnus Mr Varun Khimji, who shared his leadership journey and valuable advice for future success. احتفت مدرسة السلطان بيوم الزراعة العُماني من خلال مجموعة من الفعاليات والأنشطة التوعوية خلال الطابور الصباحي، إلى جانب معرض شاركت فيه مجموعة من المتاجر المتخصصة في المنتجات الزراعية، للتعريف بالمنتجات والخدمات الزراعية وأهمية القطاع الزراعي في سلطنة عُمان. وجاءت هذه الفعالية لتعزيز وعي الطلبة بأهمية الزراعة ودورها في تحقيق الأمن الغذائي والاستدامة البيئية، وتشجيعهم على الاهتمام بالبيئة والمساهمة في بناء مستقبل أكثر اخضرارًا لعُمان. من عبق الماضي العُماني، يستكشف طلبة الصف الرابع جمال العادات والتقاليد الأصيلة من خلال التطبيق العملي لدرس «خبز ولبن» من أدب الكاتب العُماني محمود الرحبي. تعرّف الطلبة على طرق إعداد الخبز العُماني قديماً، والأدوات التقليدية التي استخدمها الأجداد، في تجربة تعليمية تربط المعرفة بالتراث، وتغرس في نفوسهم الاعتزاز بالهوية العُمانية والمحافظة على الموروث الثقافي. Year 4 students explored Oman’s rich cultural heritage through a hands-on activity inspired by “Bread and Milk”, a text by Omani writer Mahmoud Al Rahbi. في إطار حرص مدرسة السلطان على توسيع آفاق طلبتها الأكاديمية، استضافت المدرسة الفاضل جيمي فريزر من مكتب القبول بجامعة إدنبرة، يوم 11 أكتوبر، للقاء طلبة دفعة 2027. تعرّف الطلبة خلال اللقاء على آلية التقديم للجامعات في المملكة المتحدة عبر خدمة القبول في الجامعات والكليات البريطانية (UCAS)، ومتطلبات القبول بجامعة إدنبرة، كما اطّلعوا على تجارب عدد من خريجي المدرسة الذين يواصلون دراستهم حاليًا في الجامعة. وشهد اللقاء تفاعلًا لافتًا ونقاشات ثرية عكست اهتمام الطلبة باستكشاف فرصهم الأكاديمية المستقبلية. The Sultan’s School welcomed Mr Jamie Fraser from the University of Edinburgh’s Admissions Office on 11 October for an engaging session with our Class of 2027. Students explored the application process for UK universities through UCAS (Universities and Colleges Admissions Service), learned about the University of Edinburgh’s entry requirements, and heard first-hand experiences from TSS graduates currently studying there. أسبوع الفضاء في مدرسة السلطان استمتع طلبتنا من مرحلة الروضة حتى الصف السابع بأسبوع حافل بالاستكشاف والتعلّم، تعرّفوا خلاله على عالم الفضاء والكواكب والصواريخ بطريقة ممتعة وتفاعلية. وشهد الأسبوع عروضًا شيّقة في القبة الفلكية، إلى جانب مجموعة من الأنشطة والقراءات التي تناولت موضوعات الفضاء والصواريخ، مما أتاح للطلبة فرصة لتوسيع معارفهم وإطلاق العنان لفضولهم العلمي. عقدت مدرسة السلطان يوم الاثنين المصادف 28 سبتمبر ندوة تعريفية لأولياء أمور طلبة الصفوف 12 و13 الدارسين لبرنامج دبلوم البكالوريا الدولية حيث تم التعريف بالبرنامج وأهميته الفعالة اتجاه المسيرة الأكاديمية للطلبة وطريقة إعدادهم لمستقبلهم الجامعي والمهني. كما تم التأكيد على شرح مبسط لمتطلبات النجاح في دبلوم البكالوريا الدولية وكذلك استعراض مفصل لمسارات القبول والفرص الجامعية المتاحة لطلبة مدرسة السلطان وتنوع الخيارات الوظيفية التي يوفرها هذا البرنامج الدراسي المميز. كما تم استعراض النتائج الرائعة التي حققها خريجين الباكالوريا الدولية للعام الدراسي 2026 حيث حصل أحد الطلبة على مجموع 44 نقطة من أصل 45 نقطة وخمسة طلبة اخرين كانت نتائجهم النهائية 40 نقطة فما فوق. كما حقق طلبة دفعة العام الدراسي 2026 نسبة 100% قبول في جامعات دولية مرموقة لدراسة تخصصات متعددة عالية المستوى، فيما بلغت النسبة الاجمالية للبعثات الخارجية والداخلية التي حصل عليها طلبتنا 94% من اصل 56 طالب وطالبة ممن أكملوا إجراءات التقديم لجميع أنواع البعثات الدراسية من خلال البوابة الالكترونية لمركز القبول الموحد.. The Sultan’s School held an information session for parents of Years 12 and 13 students in the IB Diploma programme on Monday 28th September. This session provided parents with opportunities to explore more about the programme, its importance towards students’ education journey, and its importance for promoting them to the higher education and future career pathways. The meeting also emphasized understanding of the IB Diploma requirements, as well as the variety in university admission pathways; including the range of options available for all students as they progress to the higher education. The impressive outcomes for all graduates of Class 2026 were outlined during this information session by including the outstanding academic excellence by one student who scored 44 points out of 45 and five more students achieving 40-43 points in the rigorous IB Diploma qualification.
