Students took Kwame's "Love is..." challenge today. I think they enjoyed it. – at Virginia, USA

And when I called time on our NaNoWriMo segment of class, his head whipped around and with the hot glow of inspiration glistening on his brow he called, "Can we keep writing?" And the voices were many and vociferous, "Yes! Yes! Can we keep going?" Why yes, you may. 😈📝❤️ – at Fredericksburg, VA

Benton plays Woodbridge in the cross county championship at Colgan HS today. Honored to display the MVP's jersey today. Awesome student, phenomenal athlete! No way I was fitting in this slim guy's shirt, so it went on the board all day. Thanks, Colin! Watch out, Woodbridge! – at Virginia, USA

It always feels like things are moving so slowly from the day-to-day, when I look up to see all the work we have actually accomplished in the name of writing. Great models to help students produce strong writing. Feeling 😊 – at Virginia, USA

Love to see a former student giving back. Tristan was a ton of fun to have in class at Dixon-Smith, and now his friendship and kindness are in the spotlight. Way to go, Tristan! Looks like a great friendship, too. nbcwashington.com/news/local… – at Fredericksburg, VA
