Smash the ❤️ if you agree Hakeem Jeffries would be a better Speaker of the House then Kevin McCarthy any day of the week.
Let’s prove a point.

People are voting for Jim Jordan for speaker. A congressman who’s never authored a bill in his 14+ years in Congress. A man who overlooked the molestation of hundreds of boys in his care. A leading figure in the 2021 insurrection against the American government. Yikes GOP. Yikes.

The incoming Republican majority in the House of Representatives removed metal detectors outside of the chamber floor today, just three days before the second anniversary of the deadly Jan. 6 riot.

Thank you, @SpeakerPelosi!!!
Sad day made even worse at the thought of McCarthy becoming speaker.
Prayers that the House (@HouseGOP & @HouseDemocrats) will find a more suitable individual.
We choose @RepLizCheney @Liz_Cheney ANY DAY over the MAGA-whipped! #DemocratsDelivered4US

Hey Governor Abbott, when you are done busing people out of state for bs reasons; would you mind the grid?

“A beautiful soul, a loving sister, daughter & friend”
This is how @BetoORourke paid tribute to his sister Erin who died yesterday.
While she was all those things, she was also, as Beto readily admitted, the inspiration behind his steadfast commitment to the disabled community.
Beto the BIG BROTHER
Beto supports people with disabilities not just because it is a worthy cause, but because it is personal to him. His youngest sister Erin has intellectual disabilities. Beto is a big supporter of hers and she’s still a big part of his life.
(Thanks @Ag808)

Trump has disqualified himself from serving as president by inciting an insurrection.
It would violate the Constitution for him to serve, and we're ready to act to defend the Constitution if he runs.

Intentionally deceiving people who are eligible to vote so they don’t show up to the polls is a federal crime called voter suppression. Visit fbi.gov/ProtectTheVote to learn about this risk and how to report suspected incidents to the #FBI.
ALT Help defend the right to vote by reporting any suspected instances of voter suppression--especially those received through a private communication channel like texting--to your local FBI field office and ask to speak to an election crimes coordinator.
