Demonizing the homeless again? Haven’t you and your GOP cohorts and policies done enough to these poor people?
The entire system is FUBAR.
For the past 50+ years, the government and its employees and contractors have fleeced the taxpayers and destroyed every institution with their greed.
🚨URGENT: MACON STATE PRISON CRISIS DEMANDS ACTION
Recent reports and imagery emerging from Macon State Prison in Georgia reveal an alarming reality: incarcerated men are being forced to sleep on the floor with their mattresses and personal belongings due to reports that gang members are dictating housing access and denying them rooms. Let that sink in gangs are reportedly controlling living spaces within a state correctional facility.
This comes on the heels of the U.S. Department of Justice’s damning October 1, 2024, investigation into the Georgia Department of Corrections, which exposed pervasive violence, rampant gang activity, severe understaffing, and a systemic failure to protect individuals from serious harm.
Now, two years later in October 2026, conditions like this prove that critical questions remain unanswered.
If gangs dictate sleeping arrangements, who is truly running our state prisons?
How can vulnerable individuals find protection against ongoing intimidation?
What tangible reforms have followed the DOJ’s warnings?
The state of Georgia carries a legal and moral obligation to protect the safety of everyone in its custody. Families deserve peace of mind, and taxpayers deserve full transparency.
Public statements and empty promises are no longer enough.
Georgia’s prison crisis requires rigorous independent oversight, strict accountability, and immediate intervention. We urge state lawmakers, community advocates, civil rights groups, and national media outlets to turn their focus toward Macon State Prison.
The warnings have been issued. The alarm has been sounded. Now, we demand answers and action.
MACON STATE PRISON NEEDS HELP. GEORGIA NEEDS ACCOUNTABILITY.

Wild animals will nibble a jack-o'-lantern. Bleach, paint, and plastic decorations turns a pumpkin into contaminated food for wildlife.
Squirrels, deer, raccoons, opossums, mice, chipmunks and birds will all eat a pumpkin. Most of them work at night and you never see it.
None of them can detect bleach. That's not something an animal evolved to check for. They find food by smell, and a bleached pumpkin smells exactly like a pumpkin.
Same goes for spray paint, glitter, and anything plastic you stuck in it.
The thing bleach is supposedly solving isn't much of a problem anyway. A carved pumpkin gets five to ten days. That's the deal you made when you cut a hole in it.
If you want a few more: one part white vinegar to ten parts water, soak it and spray it down nightly. Scrape the inside walls clean, since leftover pulp rots first. Keep it out of direct sun, bring it in on warm days, and use an LED instead of a real candle.
Then when it's done, cut it up and leave it somewhere away from the road, or compost it.
A rotting pumpkin isn't a failure. It's the last useful thing it does.
And people actually look up to this thing?

Well this is a hell of a story to wake up to on a beautiful Saturday morning.
Selling out Alaska to Russia should be a crime. But once again, Trump does the dirtiest crap and America acts like it’s all normal.
The @GOP must be thrilled that 11 days before elections, we learn that the Trump family secretly orchestrated a deal to allow Russians to drill Alaska in exchange for a $25 billion "investment" funneled through their proxies.

“In late spring 2020, a source I knew to be reliable called me with a story,” writes Matthew Cole. “The Dutch government had hacked into Jared Kushner’s phone and monitored him as he accessed a Dubai-based bank account. What was odd, the source said, was that the money in the account—hundreds of millions of dollars—had come from a bank in Azerbaijan. Most importantly, Kushner appeared to have transferred significant amounts of money from the Dubai account to other individuals, including a warlord, a mercenary and a one-time hit man. The story sounded preposterous, I told my source. And yet.
Six months later, I found myself speaking with someone else about the UAE government and their use of mercenaries in conflicts around the Middle East and Africa when I asked, on a whim, whether they knew anything about Kushner and bank transfers from a UAE account. My acquaintance grew quiet. Then they replied, ‘Yes.’” Kushner’s lawyer denied the bank account existed.

The system sucks!
"Most states spend less than $3 per person per day on prison food — and some as little as $1.02 — according to the analysis by Impact Justice. Even Maine, widely seen as a model for providing good quality food in its prisons, only spends $4.05 per person"

Today is Go Purple Day, a day of awareness, solidarity, and support for survivors of domestic violence. Among those impacted by domestic violence are children, who are too often overlooked in these conversations.
Children may see violence, hear it, anticipate it, or learn to navigate their lives around it. They may worry about a parent, sibling or pet. Some may learn when to leave a room, when not to ask a question, or when being quiet feels safer than being heard.
This October, help us make sure children affected by domestic violence are not overlooked.

FEDERAL POWER GRID EMERGENCY DECLARED.
🚨BREAKING: Federal Power Grid Emergency Declared
The federal government has issued an emergency order across 13 states and Washington, D.C., impacting the PJM grid that serves 65 million people.
Affected Regions: Delaware, Illinois, Indiana, Kentucky, Maryland, Michigan, New Jersey, North Carolina, Ohio, Pennsylvania, Tennessee, Virginia, West Virginia, and D.C.
Duration: Active from October 13 through October 16.
Why is this happening?
Persistent, intense heat is placing extreme strain on the power system. To maintain basic service and prevent widespread failures, power plants have been authorized to exceed pollution limits if necessary.
Emergency Measures:
As a last ditch effort to avoid rolling blackouts, PJM can mandate that major power consumers including massive data centers switch over to backup generators, helping the grid retain roughly 900 MW of crucial reserve power.
This is far from normal.

I won’t watch the video because I’ve seen too many. But these dogs did their job and were killed by a cop who obviously has no business with a license to carry a gun. Stop electing former law enforcement to your local government and start changing the laws. They should not be protected from scrutiny simply because of their “status” as law enforcement. And they certainly shouldn’t be investigating themselves. Wake up, people. As an aside, cops do not want ordinary citizens to have guard dogs. Ask yourself why?
🚨 A judge ordered police shooting footage locked away. The owner released it anyway.
⚠️ TRIGGER WARNING!!!
In North Carolina, a State Highway Patrol trooper responded to a car break in and ended up shooting and killing two dogs, Bonnie and Clyde.
The owner, Lydia Nikac, fought to get the footage. The court finally let her and her attorney view it under one strict condition: they were legally barred from releasing or distributing it to the public.
The reason given? Ongoing investigations and protecting the "fair and orderly administration of justice."
Ask yourself:
Was this restriction about protecting an investigation?
Or was it to shield law enforcement from the public backlash of looking really bad on camera?
The backstory of this incident stems from events that took place on October 5, 2024, in Washington, North Carolina:
A man broke into a vehicle on the property of Lydia Nikac, who is a professional dog trainer. Nikac called 911 and used her two trained Belgian Malinois dogs, Bonnie and Clyde, to help corner and detain the suspect to keep him from fleeing.
North Carolina State Highway Patrol Trooper Justin Matt Maness arrived at the scene. According to accounts of the incident, the trooper instructed Nikac to control her dogs, but quickly opened fire, discharging multiple shots that killed both Bonnie and Clyde.
While the Highway Patrol contended that the trooper acted in self defense, witnesses and advocates argued that the dogs were running away or that the use of lethal force was entirely unjustified.
When Nikac sought accountability, she fought to obtain the dashcam and bodycam footage.
A trial judge permitted Nikac and her attorney to view the recordings under North Carolina's strict law enforcement recording statutes, but placed a strict gag order prohibiting them from releasing or distributing the footage publicly without further court approval.
The Appeal: Nikac’s legal team challenged the restriction on First Amendment grounds, arguing that once she possessed the footage, she should have the right to share it. However, the North Carolina Court of Appeals upheld the restriction, ruling that the trial judge acted within his legal discretion because law enforcement recordings are not automatically open public records under state law.
The bodycam footage was released anyway.
This legal clash sits at the center of ongoing debates regarding police accountability, transparency, and the strict hurdles citizens face when trying to make public evidence involving law enforcement conduct.
