Citizens living in free and democratic societies continue to face China’s transnational repression. Such intimidation and coercion instill fear and undermine the very freedoms democracy protects. We must not turn a blind eye.

Our thoughts remain with all those affected by the tragedy at CFB Wainwright.
Heartfelt condolences to the families and loved ones of those who lost their lives.
The reported attack on a #Taiwanese comedian, with links to #China, raises serious concerns about Transnational Repression. Violence or intimidation aimed at silencing political criticism must be condemned. Such acts have no place in a democratic society.
Taiwan will not allow violence that threatens free speech, and such transnational repression will not be condoned.

Maritime intimidation undermines peace & stability in the #IndoPacific. The 16 Chinese vessels detected around #Taiwan on Oct. 18, including coast guard, survey & suspected maritime militia ships reflect #China’s continued maritime expansion.
