Hello offseason!
The #Angels will need to add Nelson Rada and Raudi Rodriguez to the 40-man to protect them from the Rule-5 draft.
They’ll also need to have conversations on pitchers like Joel Hurtado, Nicolo Pinazzi, and Leonard Garcia.

Should they just compound one bad decision with another bad decision....just because...you know...feelings? I'd argue, if the Angels were being the Angels, they would have held onto Suzuki. He made several decisions throughout the season that showed he wasn't ready.
Absolutely ridiculous. Suzuki was set up to fail to begin with. The #Angels are going to Angel.

If MLB actually cared about big markets ruining baseball and disparity they wouldn’t have let the Dodgers defer around $1B in contacts.
They had a chance to shut all this down years ago, but they didn’t and now they are here pushing a salary cap and pay players less.

The #Angels haven’t had a full season Gold Glover winner since Andrelton Simmons in 2018

That same survey said Angels fans don’t care about winning too.
MLB owners do not intend to pivot from their insistence on a salary cap and floor no matter who wins the World Series, per @JeffPassan
Their stance is “backed” by surveys that show fans want one

Bob was a great scout - his seeds sprouted into the Angels' 2002 championship team - and a greater person. We'll miss him.
The Angels mourn the passing of former scouting director Bob Fontaine Jr.
A gifted talent evaluator and mentor, Bob helped shape generations of Angels by overseeing the signing and development of numerous Halos, including Jim Abbott, Jim Edmonds, Garret Anderson, Tim Salmon and Darin Erstad.
Bob left a lasting mark on baseball by devoting over five decades to the game. Our thoughts are with his family and loved ones.

What a character ... what a storyteller ... and what a talent evaluator ... there is no 2002 World Series title for the #Angels without Bob Fontaine Jr. ... RIP
