A marquee episode of Talking Snooker for you. Phil and Nick have been joined by a bonafide great in John Higgins. We knew this would be good, but it genuinely surpassed all our expectations and we can't wait to hear what you think.

Dominant from Kyren Wilson to beat Jak Jones 9-2 and win the Northern Ireland Open for a second time.
One better than the 9-3 result against Judd Trump two years ago.
Very, very good from the winner, disappointing for Jones.
11 ranking titles for Wilson!

Hello Ger, it was so nice to see you last night. Thank you for all the lovely things you said about the podcast.
Once again I’ve been so touched to meet so many people here in Belfast who listen to me nattering away about the beautiful table game. It means a lot.
Another brilliant day at the Northern Ireland Open in Belfast 🎱 The perfect ending was meeting Nick Metcalfe @TalkingSnooker , a podcast I love. “Nick Metcalfe and Phil Haigh talk about the game we all love.” Meeting Nick was the icing on the cake to a great day. Thanks Phil

'Everyone feels it's an opportunity.'
Big chance for everyone left in Belfast as we're into one of the weirder last 16 line-ups ever.
Could still be a Kyren Wilson v Mark Williams final, of course.
But could also be Mateusz Baranowski v Cheung Ka Wai

A word from me on TNT Sports presenter Rachel Casey.
Never mind her skills as a television presenter - which are top level of course - that was pure humanity from Rachel.
Her warmth, decency and kindness were exactly what was needed. Thank God she was on duty.
Mark Allen says his snooker career may be over in an emotional TNT Sports interview.

Mark Allen back at the table for the first time since the Crucible to take on Jordan Brown in Belfast.
Brown: 'Obviously Mark's got his issues off the table, I wish him well and it's great to see him back playing.
'But let's let battle commence. I've got a job to do. '

It's great to see Mark Allen back at the table. Tremendous player, big character. I think he's been much missed in recent months.
