Most Tamils don't even realise this; the same happens in literary award ceremonies that happen in border areas. Most mallu writers use Tamil works to hype themselves and make fun. I know why Vadivel was Nesamani in Friends.
Deccan is not South India.

You keep on voting for DMK and TVK but demand everything from NDA. Educated.....
From Chola to INA, it has remained Tamil, but it's better to follow the policy of exclusivity. Again, I am reiterating that this is a victory of Hindi nationalism; not even one asked why not Bengali or Malayalam?
Bengali is the most spoken language

Sounds like Prince Vijaya's expulsion.
"I drive away Indra."
That line comes from the Vendidad, the Zoroastrian book of purity laws. It is a formula said aloud over a body defiled by the dead, and it drives the god out "from this house, from this borough, from this town, from this land", with 2 other demons for company.
Close to a quarter of the Ṛgveda's hymns go to Indra. Iran made him a demon. India made him a subordinate. Buddhism made him a saint.
The Demotion of Indra asks why 3 religions did this to the same god. The answer is cattle.

Heavy Tamil accent; the beauty is the moment he utters words like "appa" and "amma "; Hindi voiceover takes centre stage. I call this a win for Indian and Bengali nationalism. Tamils deserve to lose this ancient piece of connection.
Good job, India 👍

This is one of the few accurate depictions. I believe he must have used the Amaravati & Kanheri inscriptions in this analysis. These 2 are very significant with respect to Tamils.
Ranging from 2nd B.C to 4th C.E (with respect to Tamils ). It captures the linguistic & ethnic identity of people living in those regions at that time.
The identity of Tamils (Damila) are forever etched in those inscriptions right in the heartland of these hate mongers, which can never be erased.
1. Amaravati Inscriptions - Has two different mentioning of Damila. The earliest one mentions donation by Tamil family and later second one mentions the donation by Tamil merchant. The first one does not state them as merchants and it is logical to infer that they are the natives.
To substantiate this we also have Satavahana’s issuing coinage in Tamil & Prakrit.
2. Kanheri Inscriptions also mentions Damila ( Tamil ) donors. Interestingly here it explicitly mentions them being native of Kalyan (modern Maharastra ) and Aparanta ( Gujarat -MH regions ) regions.
We can clearly see how Tamil was the prevailing identity till 3-4th century in those regions both ethnically and linguistically.
