In honor of Ernie Johnson announcing he will retire from Inside the NBA, always remember how great of a job he did calling the Pirates return to the postseason in the 2013 Wild Card Game 🏴‍☠️

It wasn’t pretty or perfect, but a GUTSY performance from the WVU defense. Crucial stops in crucial moments including picking the offense up when needed. “They won the game today.” - Rich Rod following the game on ESPN. He’s not wrong🤷🏼‍♂️

The pull, the cut, the speed, the form… all of it looked eerily similar to No. 5

Is it normal for an ESPN game to only have one camera angle on a review? It looked like there was no chance that heel came down in bounds.

😬WVU Head Coach, Rich Rodriguez rules out one possible excuse for the defense continuing to struggle this season. Today, that side of the ball allowed 482 total yards and 9.5 yards per PLAY! Hear more from Rodriguez on the defense with the full story tonight on @WTOV9.

A team with so much potential around Hawkins and Cook appears to be going to waste with this defense. Lots of football left this season, but WVU has to find ANY kind of identity on that side of the football to salvage the year.

It appears the Mountaineers are doing their best to bring back the 2010s Big 12 this season.

Is there a worse defense in FBS through 5 weeks this season than WVU? Genuinely asking because I can’t imagine it getting much worse than what we’ve seen thus far.
