[🧵]The Lord has allowed me to sit at many tables throughout my ministry journey. I’ve sat at tables from every pocket of evangelicalism & outside of evangelicalism. I’ve sat at tables who see the world from the “progressive left” and also the “conservative right.”
Here’s what I’ve learned: Any table can become an echo chamber devoid of reality. Any table can give into the temptation of creating straw-man villains of anyone who doesn’t sit at that table. Any table can become an enemy-making-machine.
The Kingdom of God doesn’t need defending, the battle is not of flesh and blood.
The Kingdom doesn’t need warriors, but peacemakers.
The Kingdom doesn’t need a political party to be enacted, but it is enacted by The One King.
