We end the Qualifiers in 34th place. To no one's surprise, we weren't picked for an Alliance. Other than possible Judges Awards, we're done
With only minutes between matches, we can't get it fully repaired, and fall short in the second match 185-255.
Disappointing morning. First match of the day ends badly when our climber fails, costing us the match 240-286.
Well, it's not a loss...
Our alliance partner just misses a full climb (just...can't...make it), and we end up tied, 205-205!
Ouch! The gearbox on our climber fails (we don't climb) & a 10pt penalty on our alliance (not us), we lose 238-245.
One more for the night
Lots of action and high scoring, but we lose a squeaker 255-263. Our partner climbed (making 3), but then fell to the ground 8^(
We beat an undefeated team, hanging gears & climbing the rope to a 235-197 victory! (Feels good after so many losses!) 3 more matches today
Team 811's 5th match was another close loss, 207-218; once again we fail to climb, which would have made the difference
With 2 bots not climbing high enough, we lose an otherwise close one, 165-250. Everything's working on robot, we just need to stay focused
A tough loss against a strong Alliance, 252-206. Woulda won if we climbed (tried, couldn't seem to grab the rope)
Next match in 30min
Team 811 is currently in 1st place, and our sister Team 885 from Vermont is in 2nd! #omgrobots #nefirst #steamworks
With more auto magic, we hang a total of 3 gears to cruise to a 257-195 win, and we're in 2nd place!
Team 811 is competing in the Southern New Hampshire District Event at Bedford High this weekend. Come on up and watch us perform!
Paired with two good teams, our 1st match was an excellent 275-156 win! We placed a gear in auto (!!!), and the bot looks great! #omgrobots
Forgot to mention this in all the excitement: Elizabeth Hannabach is named a Dean's List Nominee at GSD!
