To the Republicans who won their races for Florida’s State House and State Senate, congratulations on earning the opportunity to represent your neighbors in Tallahassee. Every bill considered and every dollar spent will affect the people who sent you there. Across our state legislative, county and local races, candidates put in countless hours and made personal sacrifices to serve. Congratulations to all who won, and to those who did not, thank you for stepping forward and fighting for your communities. Your hard work and commitment deserve recognition.

Republicans have work to do to keep Florida red. Last night’s close races show just how much every vote matters. Floridians have important decisions ahead about individual liberty and the role of government in their daily lives. Complacency will cost us. Let’s get to work.

It was an honor to spend an evening with fellow veterans and their families in Tallahassee, celebrating the Florida Veterans Hall of Fame Class of 2026. These men and women have given so much to our nation and continue making a difference in the communities they call home. Congratulations to this year’s inductees, and thank you to the Florida Veterans Hall of Fame Society for bringing us together to honor their service.

More than $46 million is heading back to eligible Infinity Auto policyholders after state regulators secured the return of excess profits. That is real money back in Floridians’ pockets. Today, I visited flood-damaged areas of Palm Bay in Brevard County to assess firsthand the devastation facing families and businesses across the community. Following the visit, I joined Palm Bay Mayor Rob Medina to discuss the extent of the damage and ongoing emergency response efforts. Our first responders are working tirelessly to protect lives and help residents through this crisis. My focus remains on ensuring affected communities have the support and resources they need to recover. Florida will never leave its people behind.

The flooding in St. Lucie County has caused extensive damage, leaving families and communities facing serious challenges. I met with Sheriff @RichardDelToro to review the ongoing response and assess conditions from the air, getting a clearer picture of the areas hit hardest by floodwaters. Thank you to the men and women of the @stluciesheriff's Office for their work on the ground. Their dedication is making a difference when local families need them most.

Congratulations to Governor-elect @ByronDonalds and Lieutenant Governor-elect @BryanAvilaFL! Florida will continue to put families first, stand with our law enforcement officers, protect parents’ rights and defend the freedoms that make Florida the greatest state in the nation. The radical left promises you everything for free and calls you greedy for asking who pays. Your paycheck becomes their funding source. Your business becomes their target. Abdul El-Sayed keeps pushing Medicare for All and pointing to billionaires to help pay for it. But taxing the wealthy won’t even cover it, and moving your health care costs onto your tax bill doesn’t make them disappear. Nothing is free. They come for billionaires. Then millionaires. Then everybody else. The people end up with no money. No voice. No power.

Yesterday, I visited JM Diamond Farm and Paul Griswold Farm in Santa Rosa County to survey storm damage and see the peanut and cotton operations helping to feed and clothe our country. Remember to watch out for farm equipment on the backroads. The debris stacked along county roads makes it harder for the tractors to create space. Stay Alert. Stay Alive!

Illinois Democratic Congresswoman Delia Ramirez introduced legislation to dismantle the Department of Homeland Security and abolish ICE. Thank you to Commissioner Rhett Rowell for welcoming me to Jay High School for lunch. A graduate who returned to teach government and history, he’s helping prepare the next generation in the community that raised him. That’s a commitment to service I have a lot of respect for.

A raise should help you get ahead. When higher grocery costs, insurance premiums and utilities eat every dollar of it, you’re running in place. Before politicians propose another tax or mandate, they need to explain how much more families will have to pay.
