🏆Congratulations to our own @Oinkmage who made Top 8 of today's Regional Championship Los Angeles! He also earned his Pro Tour Detroit qualification.
Gabe is also the first player to Top 8 three RC's!
Great job Gabe!

Here is my list. Seemed pretty important to load up on brood hate so I went with consign AND Charmaw. Plan worked as I went 4-0 against it. Boomerang basics was fantastic. Dont play pompous battle mage. Your goal is to kill them not "trigger cutter by itself"

8-1 day 1 with Zoo at RC LA, lost my 9-0 match to Kethis (I was the bad guy there so it's okay), gonna do my best tomorrow and PRAY the zoo gods continue to love me 🙏

Special thanks to @Chosler and @PlayMTG for featuring us this weekend. We love competitive Organized Play magic and want to see it thrive again.
Team Main Phase is local to the regional, and the team both turned out in force and has done very well so far at #SpotlightTheHobbit! The 9-2 Doug Bailey, who featured in pre-show coverage, said the work is not done: "The Pro Tour is the goal."

At the behest of some friends, I have written an old-school tournament report recapping my win at last weekend's Dallas Spotlight. @fireshoes docs.google.com/document/d/1…

Very proud of our team @TeamMainPhase for having the top 4 win % decks as our top picks going into the event. Modern is actually pretty sweet right now.
#SpotlightTheHobbit
Notable caveat: I didn't exclude mirrors so the data will be closer to 50%. If a deck has a 54% winrate, add half a percentage. 46% might be closer to 45.5%
Dimir was insane, Broodscale and Devoted were very strong, Blink did super well, Trudge did very poor

Scott McNamara made the short drive from Austin to compete, and the Spotlight Series Atlanta finalist from last year took his first deep dive into Modern. He came out on the other side with an appreciation for Thoughtseize and a Top 8 with Dimir Psychic Frog.
