Heuristic Traps - Familiarity
The Familiarity Trap is a cognitive bias where people mistake previous experience for competence, safety or quality - simply because you've done a route before with no issues doesnāt mean youāll have the same outcome next time.
A pebble from each year Iāve done the Coast to Coast over the past 10 years, & a photo from June 2017 just before my first crossing (I wore shorts back then š²) & from Sept this year just before my 10th.
2,000 miles, guided over 100 people along the route & countless memories.
Photos from Day 14 - and our final day - of our Coast to Coast to Robin Hoodās Bay.
15 miles of moorland, woodland and coastline, and the end of the journey at the North Sea, or is it just the beginning?.
This was my 10th C2C, and it was just as good as the 1st!
Photos from Day 13 of our Coast to Coast and down into Esk Dale.
14 miles of moorland, crosses, tracks, standing stones, views, bridges, paved trods and trains.
This is my 10th C2C, and it was downhill pretty much all the way today!
Photos from Day 12 of our Coast to Coast and a long day across the Cleveland Hill.
20 rollercoaster miles along the escarpment of the Cleveland Hills and then the long Ironstone Railway to the Lion Inn
This is my 10th C2C, and what a feeling to walk into the Lion Inn š
