Dragonfly is easily one of the most exciting missions of my lifetime. I cannot WAIT!!! Great to see progress in this exciting and ambitious mission.
The Dragonfly mission is flying through milestones! Recent thermal and environmental testing shows how the rotorcraft will survive and navigate Titan’s skies. This bold mission will explore one of our solar system’s most intriguing worlds. go.nasa.gov/3V9Kd3L

Our boldest photography project yet! From Above & Below, a mission to photograph the same subjects from Earth and space with National Geographic photographer, Babak Tafreshi. @BabakTafreshi traveled the world while I orbited around it, and together we created this perspective.

If you own a Bambu 3D printer you DEFINITELY shouldn't upgrade to the latest firmware unless you want to have your printer effectively highjacked by Bambu marrying it to their cloud services & preventing you from installing 3rd party firmwares or using 3rd party software & hardware with your printer that you purchased and own. This update has nothing to do with security IMHO and everything to do with Bambu trying to lock you into their ecosystem further so you can't install X1Plus or use 3rd party hardware/software. Honestly, it's a bigger security hole to require the printer to be internet connected for firmware updates or print job queuing since Bambu could get hacked at some point and the attacker could gain access to all the printers connected to the cloud through every firewall giving attackers a path back to the printer. Just stay on the old firmware and enjoy having a little more control over your printer. Plus, your printer will be worth more if you ever decide to sell it since nobody will want to buy a printer that is locked down into Bambu's ecosystem unable to be fully utilized while disconnected from their cloud and control. If Bambu truly cared about security, they would give owners the encryption keys so they can see the data that is being transacted between their printer to the cloud, so they always know what Bambu is doing with their data. This firmware is definitely a step too far using fear to convince people to hand over more control they can't ever get back. I hope this post helps some Bambu printer owners avoid making a huge mistake. Please share this with anyone you think it might help! 🙏 #BambuLab blog.bambulab.com/firmware-u…

Quite scary where the industry is moving, control of your data 🕵️‍♂️ In this case especially as one of their investors is IDG Capital - which was on US Dept. of Defense - Chinese military companies list 😯 and Article 7 (more in the thread) of National Intelligence Law kinda trumps all the good intentions defense. Disconnected from the internet and slicers/apps in a walled Virtual Machine is the only way to be safe. I dislike that I have to be the one to bring this information to public discourse, but these things are not much covered by our press while absolutely critical in an industry which is so vital for for new IP creation 💡1/
WARNING TO @BambulabGlobal Users: Read this blog post before you update the firmware on your X/P series machines!!! The new Beta firmware will brick your ability to use @fever_soft as you have been and require a new interface to upload files. blog.bambulab.com/firmware-u…
