One of the recurring observations with the iPhone Duo is the state of third-party app optimisation
While Apple system apps adapt well to both the outer and inner displays, many other applications currently run in a compatibility mode with black bars or reduced visual fidelity.
Similar challenges were observed during previous iPhone transitions, and updates from developers are anticipated in the near term.

Charging a phone with a car charger has become very common, but it is damaging a lot of devices.
A friend’s iPhone 17 Pro developed a swollen battery in less than a year. The habit was simple plug it in the car and leave it.
If you also charge in the car every day, do not leave the phone plugged in for long hours.
Heat, a cheap cable, and a long charging session can lead to port damage or battery swelling.
The safest option is still the company’s original charger and a certified cable, A little extra cost is better than a repair.

The Galaxy S26 Ultra is performing better than expected and has become the best selling Android phone this quarter, That is a genuine milestone for Samsung.
At the same time, the broader picture remains unchanged.
The iPhone 17 is the world’s best-selling smartphone with 6% share, followed by the iPhone 17 Pro Max and iPhone 17 Pro.
Apple still holds the top three positions.

Pixel 11 Pro XL has passed the JerryRigEverything durability test
The frame showed almost no flex in the bend test, which is a noticeable improvement over recent Pixel foldables.
Scratch resistance remains typical for Gorilla Glass light marks at level 6 and deeper grooves at level 7.
The more useful takeaway is repairability. Both the display and battery can be removed relatively quickly, and it is being called one of the easier flagships to service in 2026.
This year, the XL feels noticeably better built than the Fold 👀

The Pixel 11 Pro Fold has undergone @JerryRigEverything durability test.
It failed the extreme bend test, cracking along the antenna lines near the hinge. The cover screen also separated during the process.
This is the fourth year in a row a Pixel Fold has broken at the same structural point, despite Google’s claims of a significantly stronger hinge and improved materials.
Unlike last year’s model, the battery did not rupture this time, which is a clear improvement.
Everyday durability looks better with the new ceramic cover and IP68 rating, but the phone still shows weakness under high pressure.
Samsung’s Galaxy Z Fold series continues to handle these tests more consistently.

Recently, a Galaxy user in China experienced their Galaxy S25+ catching fire while charging overnight.
Samsung inspected the device and concluded that a previous drop had damaged the battery, which then ignited during charging.
As a result, the company is treating it as user negligence and has declined compensation.
The owner strongly disagrees, stating that Samsung has not shared clear evidence and that the physical damage could easily have been caused by the fire itself rather than a prior drop.
A few isolated S25 series fire reports have surfaced over the past year, but nothing that points to a widespread issue so far.
Curious to hear your thoughts where should the responsibility lie in such cases.
