Last year I built a number of good fires. This year I've built one perfect, roaring fire and many fires that either don't even get rolling or, today, get rolling and look great and then sputter out even though I haven't topped them w/ anything oversized. Why.

Yesterday, a white scholar attacked a Black scholar on here for having a big office & giving away books. The white scholar kept referring to the Black scholar's books as "props," rather than resources for teaching and scholarship. So disrespectful and so telling. 1/2

Democrats have been throwing up LeBron numbers my entire life and they're still "neck-and-neck" with the GOP. This is the most obvious example of corporate capture of our public institutions, and it's why we're arguing about culture wars during a period of record price-gouging.

Just read that NYT article making the rounds. Seeing ppl "both sides" the problem is 🤬 + I don't know how to fix it. No, both sides don't have different facts--one has facts, one only sometimes does. No, Biden is not an imminent threat to democracy/doesn't toe fascist lines.

Oh and while I'm ranting, 2020 election denialism + the Jan6 insurrection are NOT the same thing as the issues in the 2000 election, + dems didn't "deny that election" for personal gain for years. For fuck's sake, inside that first year we had 9/11 + the entire ground shifted.
