For todays readings I found it interesting that ritual revolution minimized ritualism in Christianity. For example, Communion used to be celebrated every day in the church. Now communion is celebrated either once a week, month, or not even at all. #RLST206a

In “Readings” I learned that the aim of worship and ritual is to communicate with God. However there is no set rule on how one can worship. It can fit to anyones daily life and how they choose to communicate with god. #RLST206a

In todays reading I found it interesting that there is a deep connection between the Islamic religion and political authority. #RLST206a

I found it interesting that in the Christian religion, "the authority of Jesus Christ has always been essential to the identity of the community and its message of salvation" (JCM 129). #RLST206a

In our readings from JCM, I found it interesting that Sages are teachers whose wisdom derived from tradition. (JCM 125) #RLST206a

I found it interesting that in Islam, there are two categories of prophets. "ras¯ul’. Which means messenger. Also, "nabı". Which means prophet. #RLST206a

In “Jews, Christians, and Muslims” I find it interesting that Christian Monotheism stems from the Jewish belief that God would send a Messiah. #RLST206a

In “Jews, Christians, and Muslims” I enjoyed learning about how traditions in religion are more complex than your average tradition. My question is are there any traditions that are shared between these three religions? #RLST206a
