I teach DeFi and this account is where I do it in public.
Head-to-head protocol comparisons with live data, where the yield actually comes from and fast reads when something gets hacked.
DeFi, measured. 🧵
Binance's $6.3B hack wasn't a smart contract bug.
A "fake job interview" and a take-home "assignment" run on a work laptop. A deploy token on another engineer's machine.
Read their initial report. Here's what it shows and what it hides
Still unanswered:
- which AI tool and how?
- why did a June victim still hold a deploy token?
- did the signer have caps or a quorum?
- why no alert until XRP, SOL and OP were gone?
Biggest crypto hack on record. Publish the full review.
Huge for the industry!
Defi Will win
Together with industry leaders @veda_labs and @kamino, Aave submitted a legal framework for lending protocols and vaults to the SEC.
We are bringing the industry together to advocate for a regulatory framework that reflects how onchain finance actually works.
Kudos to @TuongvyLe12 and @LindaJeng1 for spearheading this initiative.
Update: rescue done!
Everything left in the compromised wallet when he reached out is now safe in a fresh one.
If your seed leaks:
- Move funds before the drainer bot does.
- Never reuse that seed.
Speed beats pânico
Lets go!
One of the things I enjoy most is helping people whether they're just starting their crypto journey or have been here a while and need a hand.
Wallet got compromised. Part of the funds stolen, part still at risk. This morning hands on deck…
Not everything is in the new wallet yet but part of it is already safe on our side.
Holding $tBTC?
Mint/redeem still paused after a Linux kernel flaw hit operators… one account drained.
What I'd do:
- Borrowing against tBTC? Add margin now.
- Don't panic-sell a DEX discount, redeem is paused, not gone.
A bridge is only as safe as its operators servers.
Hey @MikeSilagadze my friend @dadefuga_ have a point here….
Replying to @ether_fi
Sure, what about fixing the fiat € deposit? Change the providers, talk to them, do whatever. It's unacceptable that I am approved and, every time I want to deposit €, it always asks me for KYC or the same information that I have already provided over and over again, this already happened 6 or 7 times, its annoying af and support literally told me to suck it up and cant do nothing, now i cant deposit fiat once again
The hard part isn't staying online. It's that a halt is even on the table.
If a few THORNodes can pause settlement the neutrality was always on loan.
Censorship resistance only counts when it's expensive to keep. The real fix is a protocol that can't be switched off.

And a reminder... dont delegate your native stake...
Not your keys ...

$8.2B to $16.4B.
That's daily DEX volume from the day before the @binance hack to the day of it.
The market bled. Onchain trading doubled.
So the question is... who actually wins when a CEX breaks? 🧵
Glad user funds are covered.
Wild part? A 7702 delegation on a hot wallet, swept 3m24s later and the whole street watched it live onchain.
If BTC left too, that's a key problem, not a 7702 problem.
Delegation is EVM-only.
