The @cdnwomenfdn reports 1/5 women experiencing online harassment. This is not acceptable. Thank you
@GGCanada for sharing your experiences and the role we all have to play in creating safe, inclusive and respectful spaces to engage in public life.
A busy day in Toronto!
Thank you to @TheSocialCTV, @breakfasttv and @DonnaSound for discussing the importance of reconciliation and talking openly about protecting women and girls from abuse on social media.
Together, we can create safer online spaces for all.

The main things I have tried to absorb from my father’s experience of life are his humility and his grace, and so these words from his @queensu speech really touched me… 1/3

I usually preface a post with an excerpt from what I post, but every word of this breathtakingly beautiful and profound essay by the great retired Justice Rosie Abella of Canada is so perfect that I can’t bring myself to do anything but say: please read ⬇️

In Kenya visiting w/ incredible @QEScholars and the cmty + school projects they work with. Shout out to the @UPEI students collaborating across veterinary/climate/nutrition fields to enhance family diets, ⬆️ quality milk production, + promote environmentally sustainable practices
It’s inspiring to see 🇨🇦 “academic diplomacy” in action! Community -impact through multi-lens research (people/planet/economy/health) is what the @QEScholars program is all about. The future is bright! Honoured to experience this with colleagues from

Powerful and moving words by Dr. Evelyn Steinhauer from the ATEP program @UAlberta. “Indigenous teachers save lives because trajectories change.” Excellent session on shifting the narrative from deficit to abundance in ITE. #IndigenousEducation
