Sudan’s Undersecretary of MFA Amb. Muawiya Osman, said Ethiopia is continuing to support the RSF and that Sudan reserves the right to take the matter to international bodies.
Speaking at a joint press conference Osman said Sudan had exercised maximum restraint, sought to de-escalate, and tried through diplomatic channels to persuade Ethiopia to halt the attacks.
Recalling that a similar press conference had been held in March, Osman said: “We thought these efforts would lead to positive results. But the Ethiopian side did not back down.” He alleged that Ethiopia has continued to open its territory for supplying the militia with weapons and equipment, recruiting mercenaries, and deploying drones that target vital facilities.
Osman stressed that Sudan reserves the right to brief the United Nations, the African Union and other regional and international organisations, and that it also has the right to protect its security and territorial integrity by all means available under international law.

@ADFmagazine This article’s seemingly positive headline masks serious factual inaccuracies, selective analysis and a fundamentally distorted portrayal of Eritrea. Eritrea’s stability is no recent phenomenon. It rests on decades of national cohesion, the capacity to safeguard its sovereignty and maritime security, and a consistent pursuit of regional peace and cooperation, despite persistent hostility and provocations from #Ethiopia, emboldened by external powers. It is time those powers adopted a sober assessment of regional realities and exercised their influence responsibly to advance regional peace and security. #Eritrea

#Eritrean President Isaias Afwerki told Sputnik Africa on the sidelines of the Russia-Africa Summit that a genuine strategic partnership between #Russia and African nations requires overcoming obstacles created by adversarial blocs.
He stressed that the new action plan must move beyond minor adjustments and reflect the strategic importance of cooperation for both sides.

Potemkin Party minions and war mongers seem unduly exhilarated by the purchase of 12 Su-35 jet fighters from Russia.
They believe, in the ominous words of their leaders, that this will indeed enhance the regime's capability for its "pre-emptive" war of aggression; oblivious to the legal and security quagmire that this will entail and the lessons from yesterday's history.
The Potemkin Party has indulged in a massive weapons purchase spree for a long time now as the link below demonstrates.
But massive re-armament will neither advance the PP's declared agenda of regional destabilization nor alleviate the dire sufferings of almost 70% of the Ethiopian population who live under abject poverty, classified as "multidimensionally poor" in accordance with standard economic metrics.
The country is also suffering from mushrooming internal chaos and spiraling strife - the upheaval in Moyale is the latest in the string of entrenched inter-communal conflicts - which stem from a dysfunctional governance architecture.
The Potemkin Party has got all its priorities wrong and, by all accounts, it will neither listen to the voices of reason nor retreat from the perilous path that it has chosen to tread.

#Sudan has laid out its evidence against Ethiopia. At a joint press conference by Military Intelligence, General Intelligence and the Foreign Ministry, officials said the RSF has carried out 162 attacks on Sudan using drones launched from Ethiopian territory. Taking off from bases in Asosa and Bahir Dar and flying along the South Sudan border, the drones have struck dozens of cities from Ed Damazin to El Obeid.
The toll is heavy: more than 400 civilians and 102 soldiers killed, and schools, hospitals, health centres and fuel stations destroyed. Officials also displayed modified kamikaze drones and downed Chinese-made CH-95s.

And then there are those who mistake cowardice for wisdom and are easily impressed by charlatans. 🐀

#Ethiopia:
Give the boy king his toys. That's apparently all he cares about.
UAE money. WFP aid. EU funding. The list goes on.
His country is burning, his people are suffering, and the state is flirting with collapse.
But hey, the boy king has shiny new toys he probably can't even handle.
What a spectacle.

EU, World Bank and the IMF are providing the funding that keeps the Abiy regime afloat, while Abiy Ahmed is using European taxpayers money to buy warplanes from Russia.
Ethiopian Prime Minister Abiy Ahmed announced that 12 Su-35 fighter jets purchased from Russia were delivered a year ahead of schedule. Abiy also said Ethiopia plans to acquire four S-400 air defense batteries. These moves significantly strengthen the country's military capabilities.

Jawar has been fabricating lies about #Eritrea lately, but nothing he says or does can withstand the test of time and fact. Notice here the selective pattern, #Ethiopia: how #JawarMohammed is loud and clear about Moyale, quick to demand that #Kenya prosecute “inciters.” Yet, he remains silent about the Orthodox Christians killed in Arsi, the very area or zone he is from and has spent years talking about. What the world has witnessed in Arsi is nothing but a coordinated horror: church burnings and innocent people slaughtered simply for being Orthodox civilians.
Not a single statement from him for the last 3 days. Zero, zilch, nada. No call for accountability. No demand that the Ethiopian regime authorities (his "ultra-radical" Oromo elites & political friends) investigate or protect the people in his own region. Check out his account yourself (I am including snippets for the record 👇🏾). Instead, his focus stays fixed on the Borana-Garre border clash so the conversation remains centered on Kenya and external actors.
Meanwhile, his protégés are deployed in classic Potemkin fashion to falsely pin the crimes on “Tsimdo” (distant actors). Clearly, the plan is to do anything to keep the spotlight off him and his own ultra-radical Oromo elites & political friends or affiliates. That is selective outrage by design. Given his background and long history of rhetoric that has preceded deadly unrest over the years, his silence on Arsi is meant to keep him free and clear while directing others to look elsewhere. When the pattern points toward forces and rhetoric linked to ultra-radical Oromo ideology (whatevet it is), his commentary disappears. When it can be framed as someone else’s problem, the posts appear.
Nice try, though. People notice the difference between performative concern and strategic silence. The facts speak louder than the deflection. You can't outrun a pattern this obvious, and keep Eritrea out of your dirty mouth.
Kenyan security and judicial institutions must rein in individuals inciting and exacerbating communal conflict in southern Ethiopia.
Following the latest outbreak of fighting between the Borana and Gari clans, some Kenyan political and media figures have been circulating extremely dangerous messages, in some cases more inflammatory than those coming from individuals directly involved in the conflict on the Ethiopian side. They have also reportedly engaged in fundraising campaigns to procure and send weapons to the warring parties.
Kenya is already feeling the effects of the violence, with thousands of people fleeing across the border in search of humanitarian protection. Unless such incitement is contained, it will not only intensify the conflict inside Ethiopia but also risk spilling over into Kenya, where members of the affected communities live on both sides of the border, including in Nairobi.
I therefore appeal to Kenyan security agencies to investigate those inciting violence and the relevant judicial authorities to prosecute offenders in accordance with the law before the situation escalates and causes even greater harm to both countries.

Wonderful to meet H.E. Arrmanatha Nasir, Foreign Minister of #Indonesia, during a journey to Indonesia, with colleagues from #Africa, the #Caribbean, Southeast Asia and the #Pacific.
As a former colleague @UN, it was a pleasure to reconnect, exchange views, and explore avenues for further cooperation and collaboration between our two countries.
The visit offered a valuable opportunity for @UN Permanent Representatives to gain deeper insights into Indonesia, explore opportunities to strengthen bilateral relations, and foster greater cooperation and mutual understanding.
Home to approximately 280 million people across some 17,000 islands, Indonesia is a remarkable tapestry of 1300 cultures, languages, and traditions, united under the founding philosophy of Pancasila.
Its principles of belief in God, just and civilized humanity, national unity, deliberative democracy, and social justice resonate with #Eritrea’s foundational principles of national unity, self-reliance, social justice, and popular participation.
Rooted in distinct historical experiences but united by shared aspirations, #Eritrea and #Indonesia are committed to building cohesive, sovereign nations in which diversity is a source of strength and national unity serves the collective good.
These shared principles provide a strong foundation for deepening bilateral friendship and cooperation, anchored in mutual respect, sovereign equality, and solidarity, and advancing South-South cooperation.
For the PRs traveling together, is also a great opportunity to update reach other on developments in our respective regions…
