A journey of growth, courage, and transformation! 🌸
YOWPSUD hosted the final mentorship session under the #MwanamkeImara project, marking the close of an impactful 18-month journey of strengthening women’s leadership in PCVE.
With support from @CanHCKenya through @SFCG_Ke, women have strengthened their capacity to champion peace and security frameworks, access leadership platforms, and shape safer, more inclusive communities.
In Kwale, the impact is taking root. Women are increasingly exercising leadership, trust between communities and security actors is growing, reporting is improving, and inter-county collaboration among security agencies is taking shape.
As this chapter closes, the journey continues. #MwanamkeImara has laid a foundation for women to lead, influence, and champion sustainable peace. The seeds planted over 18 months are already bearing fruit, and the future holds even greater possibilities.

In Kilifi County, women are stepping into a stronger role in preventing and countering violent extremism.
The @NCTC_Kenya, under the @EUinKenya-supported Women Frontline Workers Programme, brought women together for an engagement that explored the drivers of radicalization, extremist recruitment, strategic communication, and the power of community networks.
A key milestone was the formation of the Kina Mama Network in Kilifi, creating a platform for women to connect, coordinate, and strengthen their role in promoting community stability and preventing violent extremism.
When women are equipped with knowledge, connected through networks, and empowered to act, their influence reaches far beyond the training room.
Kilifi’s Kina Mama are ready to turn knowledge into action.
