A healthy democracy thrives on participation, transparency, and accountability.
When legislation with far-reaching consequences is considered, citizens deserve a process that is open, inclusive, and reflective of the public interest.
We join voices across the continent calling for a full parliamentary process and meaningful public engagement on the Human Sexual Rights and Family Values Bill.

Healthcare works when people feel safe enough to seek it.
When fear becomes a barrier to accessing health services, the consequences extend beyond individuals, they affect families, communities, and public health systems as a whole.
No one should have to choose between their health and their safety.

Pregnancy should not mark the end of a girl’s education.
Through the SHE SOARS project, we are working with partners to advance the rights of pregnant and parenting learners and support pathways back to education. The Ministry of Education’s School Re-entry Circular provides an important framework for ensuring that girls who become pregnant can return to school, stay in school, and complete their education.
Now, the priority is accelerating implementation of the Circular at all levels of the education system, while addressing the stigma and barriers that continue to push girls out of school.
