LA friends, I might be biased but highly recommend that you’re following @KateCagle and her reporting 🙏🏼
Thank you, thank you, thank you to every single person who has called, tweeted, texted and expressed concern or outrage over the past day.
It means so much.
I can’t say much more than that but coming up Sunday my reporting will speak for itself. @SpecNews1SoCal

Extremely frustrating to see Spectrum News colleague @KateCagle detained for simply doing her job last night in Los Angeles for @SpecNews1SoCal.
Kate and her team were covering demonstrations as city officials clear out homeless encampments at #EchoParkLake.

"I have to stay with my crew."
This is the moment three LAPD officers pulled me from a crowd of protestors and zip tied my hands tonight at Echo Park Lake. @SpecNews1SoCal
Nothing like waking up to see your sister was almost arrested last night for merely reporting a story. I’ve always been proud of all her coverage on homelessness issues in LA throughout the past few years. I’m relieved she’s safe. ❤️

I am not sober for the first time since this stupid winter crisis started and so far my only urge of “honest communication” has been to scream at the top of my lungs
Reminiscing about the time I was handing out progressive magazines at the US Capitol for @damn_joan and I put a box down by itself because it was too heavy to carry - and I was quickly surrounded by Capitol Police who took down my SS # and then kicked me off the property lol
I swear I got hives reading this @TexasMonthly article. 😅 As a wedding photographer, it's been crazy to see from afar the selfish decisions people have made this year. I feel luckier than ever to have only worked with couples who took a ton of precautions

Everyone involved should be held accountable. Including those wedding photographers who went ahead and worked at a super spreader event when they knew it was wrong. But it might be more helpful to focus on criticizing the systems that have failed us than to shame/hate strangers.
Bryan woke me up this morning with the news and I mean I guess it wasn't the worst way to wake up on a Friday
The question of “should you wake your partner” to tell them the Trump-coronavirus news was the web’s most pressing last night.

I personally find it comical that these health departments are surprised parents are trying to send their kids to school with COVID. Growing up, it was pretty normal in my district for kids to show up with the flu or other contagious illnesses.

Anyone want to take a guess at how hard it was to not use the terms "doggies" or "puppers" in this hard-hitting investigation into the lives of pups during the pandemic?

Meanwhile, I was out there tweetin' things like, "If cultural constructions make you happy, they make me happy" in full sincerity

My favorite part of reporting about #COVID19 is following vaccine development and watching the medical community work to break the record for the fastest vaccine development. For @NautilusMag, I'm tracking when an American vaccine will be ready: coronavirus.nautil.us/when-w…
I feel like we can all agree that if the freakin' Rock can get COVID-19, none of us are safe, lol.
Between his discipline to strictly adhere to guidelines and his commitment to health, it's nuts that one slip up got his entire family infected.

Here is your pre-holiday reminder that, yes, the U.S. is still fighting a pandemic and, yes, throwing a big party is still a bad idea -- from me and @NautilusMag:

This is so good. A must-read for everyone who has loved ones sharing conspiracy theories.
