Really enjoyed seeing @katrina_tester present today at #TestWest2018 about testing in a DevOps world.. especially the lego-based postulation that transformed the testing pyramid into an hourglass!

OH: “Testing is like air - it’s everywhere. The role of a tester is to teach people to breath, continuously and comfortably” #TestWest2018

Interesting. @katrina_tester’s take on the testing pyramid. Taking a lego sorter analogy. I’m obviously not a fan at all of the pyramid (m.youtube.com/watch?v=pls1Vk…), but this seems like a sensible approach. She explained that DevOps pushes you to lean more on the bottom blocks.

Now we are seeing an example of testing in production using A/B testing for a real world banking example about different ways to ask customers about creating a new home loan fixed price term. With this “the voice of the customer isn’t the tester, it’s the customer” #testwest2018
