Introducing the Permaweb Payment Protocol (P3)!
P3 is a generic way for payments to be made for #permaweb infrastructure services, but it does much more than that:
- Enables service discovery 🧲
- Creates service markets ⚖️
- It is completely extensible 🧩

Bitcoin: The central bank
Ethereum/Solana: The legal system
Arweave: The national archive
The framework of an open, international state is emerging organically.

It is not decentralized if the dev has to run/continually pay for their own infrastructure.
4/ To get started 👇
Boot up an Arg8 node - github.com/textury/arg8
Try out a live Arg8 - arweave.live/

3/ Anyone can run a P3 node that provides services to this distributed gateway network.
By functioning as either a service node or an 'edge' node, operators can focus on receiving rewards for being the 'backend infrastructure' of this distributed gateway, or a frontend.
2/ Built with a decentralized focus, anyone can spin up a node & start getting paid 💸 for providing gateway infrastructure.
By using P3, Arg8's can provide a fully incentivized gateway experience for the #permaweb.

Not yet, but it will released soon. We want to get feedback before the release of the source code, to make sure things are at a stable level before continuing with all that is coming for Arg8.

Yes! Hoping to get feedback before the release of the source code, to make sure things are at a stable level before continuing with all that is coming for with Arg8.
Because of Arg8 being still in beta, we ask for the Arweave ecosystem to help us improve Arg8 by sending anything that you think is missing or is responding differently from arweave.net , also, we might turn off and on often for improvements and updates.
Arg8 is still in beta and a few functionalities are still a WIP. Main missing feature is GQL. Pretty much everything else, of the current .net version, is already there for you to enjoy.
Huge thanks to @samecwilliams and the @ArweaveTeam for their time, help with what we are building; and with a lot of what is coming next for Arg8.
Arg8 has been built from scratch using @adonisframework , an amazing Typescript framework that allowed us to get started ASAP, without having to worry with the basics.
We are super excited to finally present Arg8 to everyone! It has been a month of a hard work and fun times building a very important piece of the Arweave ecosystem!
Today we would like to present to the Arweave community our own Arweave Gateway. 𝗔𝗿𝗴𝟴 arweave.live 🥳🎉♾
