British and German Armed Forces come together every year for a Game of Remembrance.
Inspired by the Christmas Truce of 1914 when impromptu games of football were played on No-Man's Land, the match brings our armed forces together to reflect and strengthen ties.

The Government of Ghana welcomes your intervention and President Trump’s timely decision.
We have always known we can count on our own Kwame Mamdani.
I spoke with the mother of Javits Frimpong yesterday and assigned officials of Ghana’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs to assist her with the visa application process.
Madam Doris Adu Gyamfi’s pain as a loving mother is unimaginable and indeed everything must be done to ensure she is present to pay her respects.
The Mahama Administration will take care of the full cost of Madam Adu Gyamfi’s travels and also stands ready to contribute towards a dignifying funeral.
We resolve to continue to work together in securing justice for Javits.
The murder of a child is a pain no parent should have to endure, let alone from thousands of miles away.
Javits Frimpong’s mother deserves to say goodbye to her son in person. I just got off the phone with President Trump and he has agreed to grant her visa immediately.
All of New York City is mourning this tragedy.

President John Dramani Mahama has held a bilateral meeting with Russian President Vladimir Putin on the sidelines of the Third Russia–Africa Summit in Moscow on 30 October 2026.
President Mahama secured six key commitments secured through his discussions with President Putin, covering nuclear energy, defence, agriculture, education, the recruitment of Ghanaians into the Russia-Ukraine war and the revival of the Permanent Joint Commission for Cooperation (PJCC).
Among the major outcomes is Russia's commitment to work with Ghana towards establishing a 2,000-megawatt nuclear power plant to strengthen energy security and support industrialisation.
Other commitments include enhanced defence cooperation, increased agricultural collaboration, expanded scholarships for Ghanaian students.

At the 3rd Russia–Africa Summit in Moscow, today, I reaffirmed Africa’s firm commitment to ending longstanding dependency on foreign aid and raw material extraction, urging our global partners to embrace investment models that deliver equitable, long-term returns for all.
Our goal as Africa’s current leaders is to eliminate administrative bottlenecks and transform historic goodwill into robust, sustainable commercial ties. Africa is a continent of the future. Immense opportunities abound for mutual investment between African and Russian enterprises, particularly in agriculture, agro-processing, healthcare, energy security, and digital services.
To address trade imbalances and create direct market access for African goods, we must deploy modernised trade settlement mechanisms, including the use of local currencies and integrated digital payments. Better market information, predictable quality standards, resilient logistics, and closer cooperation between our respective private sectors can make trade far more balanced, reliable, and mutually rewarding.
