Clint Eastwood gave the Mystic River cast one take per setup, and Tim Robbins loved it.
They started at 9 AM and were out by 2 PM. Eastwood usually had three setups per scene, so that was three chances. After wrap the actors checked the next day's schedule and rehearsed in a hotel room. It also meant real sleep and meals together.
His bigger point is about crews. Short days used to let crews get home and raise their families, and he thinks respect for that went away. Eastwood never forgot it.
One take and home by 2. Would actors today sign up for that?

Capping the folks responsible for the revenue will never sit right with me…
NEWS: The Big Ten chancellors and presidents are adopting facets of what’s in the Protect College Sports act, in what the league says is the bill’s “anticipated passage.” This includes a cap of athletic spending of $49 million per institution on athletes. Per the release Big Ten conference-level rule limits institutional involvement in arranging third-party NIL agreements to a maximum of $27.5 million per member institution. (That's permitted by the House Injunctive Relief Settlement).

WR Jalen Jones had 1,100 yards receiving at Alabama State last year. In the off season I was sent his tape from his HS coach, "Rico can you assess his talent and give him a grade."
I gave him an FCS grade and recommended a better FCS team for his final year.
The next week he signed to Texas Tech...
I remember thinking...what do they see? I don't see a P4 player in the slightest. This is a terrible move.
Week 9 and the young man has 4 receptions for 26 yards.
I was correct, don't chase money and let an agent set you up for a terrible final season of college football. Go where you can get on the field (have an impact, get film) and enjoy your college football experience.

100% truth. Adapt or perish. Merge the MEAC and SWAC. Add A&T, Hampton and Tennessee State. Move it to FBS.
"It is and always will be about money," says @coachjack212 when asked about the possible realignment and the creation of a possible super conference.

Nick Saban was a great college coach. He is completely wrong about the current student athletes ability to transfer and make NIL $. Week after week this guy just propagandizes with no counter voice. Enough.

Dear JUCO Players,
*In accordance with "same game same rules" initiative, the "4-2-4 rule" was changed in JUNE.
Players no longer need to get their AA to get back to the 4-year level. As long as you were a HS qualifier, you need a 2.0 GPA (it used to be 2.5) and 12 units (in English, Math, Science). If you meet these standards and you were a qualifier coming out of HS, you can transfer back to the highest level without being a JUCO graduate.
*If I'm wrong, please correct me!
