Question for the NFL: If these things add extra protection, why are players wearing them only AFTER they suffer brain injury?

When the vote tallies veer from the polling in favor of Republicans (again), will mainstream media finally acknowledge the obvious, or will we be subjected to another round of trying to explain it away so we can continue to pretend they're not stealing it?

Lemme pick that up for him: Yes, yes it is. A vote for Rogers is a vote for the Trump agenda.

Mitochondrial Eve is the most recent common matrilineal ancestor of all living humans.... She wasn’t the only woman alive in her time, but she’s the only one whose direct maternal line remains unbroken to this day. Mitochondrial Eve lived roughly 150,000 to 200,000 years ago, likely in East Africa. What makes her special isn’t that she was the first human woman or even the only ancestor we all share—it's that the tiny loops of mitochondrial DNA inside her cells have been passed down from mother to child, again and again, through thousands of generations. Unlike nuclear DNA, which is a mix of both parents' genes, mitochondrial DNA comes solely from the mother. Fathers don’t pass it on. That means it offers scientists a kind of genetic breadcrumb trail, allowing them to trace back humanity’s maternal lineage like a map etched in the body. Over time, some maternal lines die out—either because of no daughters or because the chain breaks—leaving only one unbroken strand that threads its way into everyone alive today. But Mitochondrial Eve was not a "first" or a singular origin point. She’s part of a much wider, messier web of human ancestry. There were other women—many, many others—whose descendants survive today through mixed lines of ancestry, just not through an all-female line. So while she’s not the “mother of all humans” in a literal sense, she is our shared mother in this very specific, maternal genetic way. Her story reminds us that genetics can tell quiet, persistent stories that stretch across centuries. One woman, living her life in a world unimaginably different from ours, left behind a genetic legacy that we all carry deep inside us—even now. #drthehistories

no investigation? not even by an enterprising journalist? think of all the attention lavished upon Hunter Biden's laptop! Hillary's emails! sneers at Biden's stutter! mainstream media could have had a bonanza with this but, for reasons we won't look into, did. not. dare.
Ivana Trump died after an “accidental” fall down the stairs & was buried at Trump’s golf course. Her grave was soon surrounded by overgrown weeds, with the marker barely visible. No empathy or accountability. Just a man who puts himself above everyone & everything. Even family.

really? what a narrow view! Anderson did in fact write sympathetically & convincingly about girls & women; even Hemingway has a story from an adolescent girl's perspective, "Up in Michigan," that is a knockout; not to mention D.H. Lawrence, Scott Fitzgerald, Thomas Hardy & (not least) Shakespeare. if men can't write about women, women presumably can't write about men. educated people can't write about lesser-educated people, Black writers can't write about brown people, people from Maine can't write about people from Vermont, no one can write about anyone except the sickly face in the mirror.
Replying to @JoyceCarolOates
Yeah and he's a man purporting to write about a woman's inner life. I'll pass.

Very strange and fragile. I don't remember ever communicating with Taleb at all, and I'm actually kind of a fan.

The wave is hitting the beach and not stopping.
SCOOP: Major U.S. banks are detecting unauthorized third-party AI agents inside customer accounts, including some attempting to take actions that appear to be independent of user instructions, sources told Axios. The findings have alarmed banking executives, who are racing to restrict access to their systems as AI moves at a velocity faster than financial institutions can respond, multiple industry and bank executives told Axios. Several banks are now preparing for worst-case and even “day after” scenarios, including how to rapidly secure or restore customer accounts if things go wrong, the people said. Several bank executives told Axios they're struggling to distinguish between human users and AI agents. One executive said banks also struggle to determine whether agents are authorized by customers or potentially operating without their permission, more akin to rogue agent behavior. Read my latest for Axios here: axios.com/2026/10/22/ai-agen…

We are past the point of political disagreement. We are witnessing a catastrophic collision between unchecked narcissism and obvious neurological decay. It is the most dangerous intersection in American history: a man with the absolute power of the Presidency and the absolute cognitive failure of a person no longer tethered to reality.

There are reports from 7 States who say their voting machines are switching votes for Democrats to Republicans. In one State a singular Democrat vote is switching to 3 Republican votes. This is how Trump, the President of The United States is trying to steal the election with Elon Musk..

Are we going to do anything when they steal this election? Doesn’t seem so. DT and family have been stealing our international respect and billions of dollars and we’ve done nothing. Is there a breaking point, or are we already defeated?

The closetocracy is coming apart at the seams.
Trump: I told the generals, I said, do me a favor, General, would you do me a favor? All these handsome guys, they look like they're always great looking, these 4-star guys. I don't know if they get the job by their look. But there are these 3 beautiful guys standing in front of me

It's very funny how debt is forgivable when it's tied to yachts, hedge funds, or failed businesses, but suddenly becomes a character flaw when it's tied to education, healthcare, or survival.

The premise of this is way off. Nobody "understands" the financial system today. We are the cows of the present.
"We are the cows of the future... Just as cows can't understand the financial system that controls their lives today, we will not be able to understand the AI financial system that will control our lives in 10 or 20 years." I’m sure I’m not the first to do so, but I’m predicting that everything will gradually become harder to do without using AI. They’ll wear us down to accepting something we don’t want by making it increasingly difficult to exist without it.

This is how empires fall: the ruling class loots the treasury, privatizes the gains, socializes the losses, and obscures the wreckage while those responsible plan their escape. The public inherits the debt, the ruins, and the bill. The empire isn't broken. It's being plundered.
