Pierre Escargot 4 life.
In SNL’s entire history, only ten cast members have lasted ten seasons.
Kenan Thompson has more than doubled that.
My take: he isn’t the best cast member ever. He’s the reason the show is still on.
Kenan joined in 2003 at 25, after Nickelodeon’s All That and Kenan & Kel. He’s the first regular cast member born after SNL premiered. He passed Darrell Hammond’s 14 seasons around 2018, and said he felt “a little guilty.”
Lorne Michaels called him “the person I most rely on in the cast.”
Crystalline signatures left behind with lightyears of observable universe. What can one say, when time becomes something outside of negotiable. This #Tantalus is a sculpture that will be substantial. It won’t know that so many grams of anything might have converted to be terra.
“Villains who twirl their moustaches are easy to spot. Those who clothe themselves in good deeds are well camouflaged. [They] will always be with us, waiting for the climate in which to flourish, spreading fear in the name of righteousness. Vigilance is the price we pay.” 4.21🖖
This is haunting, and I adore it. I think it’s just wonderful that Halloween and Dia de los Muertos take place at the same time. (La Catrina, CDMX, the Zocalo, 33 meters tall, an homage to the OG José Guadalupe Posada rendition). Photo credit is Gio Cruz #elgiomx on IG. ❤️🇲🇽 ❤️
Not me pictured. But Lord, how it does remind me of those halcyon days where wearing a sweater didn’t make me look overdue with twins. 😅🙃🤰🏻🤰🏻
About six years ago, or so. I can, very much, wait to try this shirt on again — for some reason, it insists on haunting me, across oceans.
I guess I just enjoy the pattern. Lack of stretchiness be damned.
Sigh. I used to be so much more… managable.
I must remind myself to show off some examples of camouflage. I’ve gotten, actually, pretty good at it.
Dude. It’s McReady AND Childs. Sharing a celebratory drink, waiting for the cold to take them both, until the rescuers come in the summer… And then…
This is something that fascinates me. I have no internal monologue. But I do have a rich sense of internal consciousness. It’s not a voice. It’s more like clouds of gas that bump together and exchange some of their bits with other clouds. Then, thoughts, consideration, and so-on.
#NewProfilePic Kinda felt good, because I’m a badass. Or insomuch as I am inclined to consider such things.
I’ve been hemming (and also hawing!) for that story to talk about, to get the flow going. I’ll go into it next, over on the Patreon. No spoilers, but nobody died. I’m sure there was litigation. Me and Nat and Olga vanished in the wind. I think.
Does anyone actually know, because I’m curious. How are projections made on a Tuesday, to find out how a film will perform when it comes out in theaters on Friday? Is it 4D marketing, are tickets all by reservation now, is it the almighty algorithm, etc.?
I always thought it had to do with the fact that Steve Jobs’ design principles were based on the idea of individualized uses of standardized, modular spaces, (the ‘70s era cookie-cutter neighborhood he grew up in.) It’s a phone; but you tinker with it, and now it’s YOUR phone.
