24 hours into Cambria RSGP. Here's a snapshot of the first day and a few thoughts.
A lot of people had high expectations for this moment, and I completely understand why some are disappointed.
Many spent hundreds of hours playing Cambria, taking risks, and supporting the project for months or even years.
Some have decided to sell, and that's entirely their choice. There will always be buyers and sellers. That's how markets work.
And with yesterday's security incidents involving Binance and Polymarket, the overall market sentiment probably wasn't helping either.
Still, I genuinely believe Cambria is the strongest project in Web3 gaming right now, and its current valuation feels too low to me.
From what I can see, quite a few OG players and larger holders are still holding their tokens. Maybe they believe in what's coming, or maybe the current value simply isn't worth selling for. Could be both. Personally, I see it as a bullish sign.
Ben also made a point I really agree with: what happens in the first few days isn't nearly as important as what happens over the following weeks and months.
And I think that makes sense.
Most of $RSGP's utility is still ahead of us, and Genesis hasn't even launched yet. It's too early to judge the token, or the entire project, based on its first 24 hours.
I'm also waiting for Ben's promised post and, even more, the Genesis announcement. Hopefully, both will help change the sentiment.
One thing I want to make clear: I'm not trying to downplay anyone's disappointment. People put real time and effort into those seasons, and I respect that.
I just approached the airdrop differently.
For me, it was always more of a nice bonus. Cambria already offered plenty of opportunities to earn through seasons, content creation, and even flipping relatively simple NFTs.
I never wanted to put all my expectations into one eventual airdrop. That doesn't mean everyone had the same opportunities or experience.
I'm still holding my $RSGP.
The first 24 hours are behind us, but I believe there's still a lot more to come.
What utility will $RSGP actually bring to the Cambria ecosystem?
While Ben is preparing a new thread about token utility, I decided to revisit the features the Cambria team has previously mentioned.
Here's what we know so far 👇
• 01. Treasury Governance
Token holders will be able to participate in Treasury governance, influencing decisions about ecosystem funding and incentive distribution.
• 02. Gauge Voting
Players who lock their tokens will be able to vote on how rewards are distributed across different in-game activities and Venues.
• 03. Revenue-Funded Bribes
A reward system funded by ecosystem revenue, potentially including USDC, Royal Charters, and in-game jackpots distributed through lootboxes.
• 04. veRSGP Staking
Locking tokens will provide access to additional ecosystem benefits and governance features.
• 05. Fee Reductions
Holding or staking tokens is expected to unlock reduced fees across certain parts of the Cambria ecosystem.
• 06. Guild Advantages
Holders may receive additional benefits related to guild activities, encouraging cooperation and competition between players.
• 07. In-Game Polls
Players will be able to participate in in-game voting and influence certain decisions regarding the economy's development.
• 08. Holder Tiers
Some benefits previously associated with Founder NFTs are planned to move into token holder tiers, including trading advantages, boosts, priority access, and exclusive perks.
• 09. Cosmetic Shards
Token staking is expected to take over part of the utility previously provided by Cores NFTs, starting with Cosmetic Shard generation.
• 10. Exclusive Cosmetics
Staking benefits may also include exclusive skins, companions, Charm Packs, and other cosmetic opportunities.
• 11. Royal Favor Conversion
In Genesis, Royal Charter holders will be able to earn Royal Favor through gameplay and Charter deployments, then convert it into the ecosystem token.
• 12. RSGP Ecosystem Fund
A dedicated fund supported by a share of ecosystem revenue and mint proceeds will help finance holder rewards, liquidity, and other token-related incentives.
And these are just the features the team has mentioned so far. Final details may still change, but the token already looks set to play an important role in the future Genesis economy.
Which $RSGP utility are you most excited about?

People starting to notice gigaverse is just pure extraction nothing shipped at this point.
It was promising for a few months but the red flags were too hard to ignore
Sorry to kill the vibe, but are people actually happy with this idea?
I spent $500 last year on a ROM, and the floor has done nothing but drop since.
But I told myself it's fine, I'll hold, it'll surely bounce back when Gigaverse Online launches…
And now you're telling me that not only has my ROM lost 75% of its value, but if I want to mint @GigaLegendsLTD I have to spend another $500 on more ROMs?! This or my ROM becomes useless?
Is it trendy lately to shit on your loyal early users?
"new players shouldn't need an old NFT to compete" Why not? I'm sure new players would have preferred buying a ROM over a new collection that will again cost $500 or more, and then probably slowly lose its value over time just like the ROMs did…
I’ve been a big long-time supporter of @gigaverse, despite it being one of the games that extracted the most from its users... but this one is hard to swallow (and people seem to be happy with it)
So yeah it's probably very cool for people who already spent thousands and have enough ROMs, but for everyone else like me, who "only" spent like $1500 in the game, it's just more spending, again and again 🔁
A lil bastard just stole my luggage in the train, now I'm out of town with literally nothing...
Like it's not enough that i get rekt in web3, now i get rekt IRL

Great work @Nexus_Epoch 🫡
I was at NFT Paris. I believed in Luca, Igloo, and Abstract.
The chain shutting down isn’t what disappoints me most. It’s how the team has treated the community since: weeks of silence.
We put our trust in them. We deserve communication, accountability, and empathy.
I want you guys to hold me accountable:
Over the next year, @mintctrlxyz is gonna flip on a dime.
I think it's gonna be the biggest NFT tool by a Texas mile
Market is all red but looks like @bearish_af doesn't care!
Might as well be bearish all the way 🐻
GM gang!
checked my clipboard 3 times before posting this, don't wanna post my private key instead of a GM

Never buy an NFT to get WL for another collection
It will always end up in a loss
By either the collection you bought or the collection you wanna mint
Its not worth the risk to hold for the WL
Mark my words

After watching this documentary, I'll never put a single dime into Pudgy Penguins ecosystem.
I want to believe Luca Netz might have started with pure intentions, but somewhere along the way, something changed.
I genuinely feel sorry for everyone who believed the promises around Abstract, only to realize they were sold a false dream.
It's time to wake up.
The comments 👀🍿
Usually web3 forgets things pretty fast... but not sure that applies here.
You can try to hide an elephant...it's still an elephant
We’ve spent the last couple of years building the top of funnel with our socials and products, and the bottom of the funnel with the Pudgy Penguins NFTs and $PENGU.
Today, with the launch of The Huddle, we begin expanding the middle of the funnel, strengthening the bridge between these two worlds.
The Huddle will thoughtfully introduce Pudgy Penguins NFTs and $PENGU to everyday people, while giving our holders a home that feels distinctly their own, with experiences that reflect their unique place in the ecosystem.
Billions will Huddle.

Replying to @0xDith
Despite the price being down 75% since i bought it, I held my only ROM all the way for 2 reasons: Abstract XP & Gigaverse Online...And I got screwed by both 🤣
Nothing says Uptober like a major @binance hack to end the month 🔻
Uptober is kinda the No Nut November of crypto: fun to talk about, best not to bet on it
