I’d much rather live next door to someone who crossed a desert to become an American than an American who wouldn’t cross the street to help a foreigner.

For the record, the Turnpike Troubadours are not a "Neo Folk Music Group" and never were. They're arguably the greatest country music band of the last decade, and the rest of the world should get on recognizing that.

Michelle and I are so inspired by all the young people who made today’s marches happen. Keep at it. You’re leading us forward. Nothing can stand in the way of millions of voices calling for change.

"Country must evolve" is how they justify the most imbecilic music in country. Synthesizers are 60-years-old. Rap is 40-years-old. Country won't evolve by coveting other genre's sounds. It will evolve by assuming an intelligent audience, & proving the eternal relevancy of roots.
