Unlike civilisational memory which can go back thousands of years, national identity evolves every few centuries. For the French, Revolution & Republic are more perceivable than Henry IV or Louis XIV. Bonapartism, in its political rather than dynastic sense, is the best model.

Acredito que chegará o dia em que até a Ressurreição de Cristo será historicamente comprovada. Para uma parcela enorme de pessoas, isso será libertador, finalmente poderão abandonar a desfaçatez de que não são cristãs por defenderem a ciência e admitir que, no fundo, nunca foi uma questão de evidências ou rigor científico, mas apenas ódio genuíno ao cristianismo.

Not even this is appropriately correct. The main Economic system in power for the majority of the Age of Trade-Colonial Empires (15th to 18th century) was Mercantilism. Capitalism boomed as a concept with the Enlightenment, with the heavy focus on Personal and Trade Freedom.

Sete minutos. Foi o tempo entre o TSE confirmar a derrota de Flávio Bolsonaro e a PF pedir a Alexandre de Moraes o passaporte dele. Moraes autorizou na mesma noite. Quem acha que isso é a tal “luta contra o fascismo” está sendo enganado. É, pura e simplesmente, perseguição política contra quem teve quase 60 milhões de votos. E quem comanda a caçada? Um ministro cuja mulher tem mais de R$200 milhões em contratos com empresas de Daniel Vorcaro, o banqueiro do escândalo do Banco Master. Com que moral esse juiz julga alguém por corrupção? É a avacalhação da República. Uma ofensa à inteligência do povo brasileiro.
