Crazy to me how Dysons cost £800, constantly need maintenance and often don't work very well, all whilst being built overseas by cheap labour. Meanwhile Henrys cost £110, never go wrong, are incredibly effective, yet are all built in Somerset. Makes you think!

No, your kid isn't addicted to their iPad/Xbox/PlayStation. You're a parent and you're fully in control of how long they spend on these devices. It's you who's addicted to how easily it pacifies them.

It seems to me that a disposition to hold on to resentment is actually a form of self harm. Not letting go of a grudge doesn’t hurt them, but you can remember the pain time and time again. Your choice #livingwithcancer #thegratitudeattitude #lovinglife #humanresources #hr

Don’t personalize or internalize other people’s behaviour. What they do is not a reflection of you. Their actions represent them and where they are in their growth. Just observe instead of getting caught up and overreacting emotionally. Idil Ahmed #livingwithcancer

When you can take responsibility for liking, listening and respecting yourself you let others off the hook of unrealistic expectations and can enjoy healthy adult to adult relationships with them. #livingwithcancer #thegratitudeattitude #lovinglife #humanresources #hr

In the emotional game of rock, paper, scissors we play with ourselves and others, judgement and criticism beats empathy and compassion every time. Your judgements may feel like you are on top, but they lose you friends and stop you understanding, connecting and helping others.

Did you, like me, at some point in your life worry about something and it turned out OK? Then, like me, did you sell yourself the lie that it was the worrying that did the trick? If you choose to, you can undo that spiral of worry thought process. #livingwithcancer #hr

Employers, worried about stress in the workplace? It’s great to have a policy and better to have an employee assistance programme, but these are after the event solutions. Why not resolve to give your employees the tools they need to deal with stress. #livingwithcancer

You will never gain anyone’s approval by begging for it. When you stand confident in your own worth, respect follows. Mandy Hale #livingwithcancer #thegratitudeattitude #lovinglife #humanresources #hr #mentalhealth #managementconsulting #management #happiness #mentalhealth
