One of the key Francophile artists in Simon Morley's "La Belle France" is of course Bloomsbury's Roger Fry - the subject of Fiona McKenzie Johnston's new biography (@triglyphbooks)
Just finished reading Simon Morley's "La Belle France".
Published by @YaleBritishArt this week, it explores British artists working in France from Walter Sickert to Nina Hamnett, Edward Burra to David Hockney - I feel I've been on a glorious & very interesting holiday!

I, VERA by @mirandajseymour is out today!
Vera Gedroits' contribution to the radical improvements to wartime surgery she pioneered as the first female battlefield surgeon have remained unacknowledged to this day.
