Muslim girl students wearing burqas from a Shantiniketan Women's College Erragadda Hyderabad were allegedly taken to Union Home Minister Amit Shah’s rally at Nizam College under the pretext of staging a protest over a scholarship issue. The girls were reportedly shocked and distressed after seeing the massive crowd. The college principal apologised to the students and their parents. However, the girls and their parents alleged that they felt unsafe amid the huge gathering and were brought to the rally by bus through misleading assurances and against their will.
