The Forum is a new way for people to be heard, find common ground, and turn shared priorities into legislative action.

When South Carolinians got a real seat at the table, they didn’t just talk. They delivered. South Carolina now stands with Nevada and New Hampshire on the road to citizen-backed legislation. Three states. One table. More to come.
The headlines keep coming, South Carolina! WLTX is telling the story of our very first civic assembly, and we couldn't be prouder of the delegates who made it happen. They came from every corner of the state, sat down together, and did the hard work: listening, debating, rewriting, and finding common ground. They walked out with 8 recommendations on jobs and affordability that are now headed straight to the State House, including: - More workforce and apprenticeship opportunities - Pay ranges in job postings, so people know what a job pays before they apply - Accountability for corporate incentives, so they actually deliver for South Carolina - A free county-by-county cost-of-living guide - More affordable, accessible child and elder care One of our highlights? Group 2 and Group 3 realized they were fighting for the same thing. So instead of competing, they joined forces and renamed themselves Group 23. That's what this is all about. In August, Nevadans showed what’s possible. 49 residents chosen by lottery took on water and agreed on six directives, all with 70%+ support. Top one, at 90%: a statewide Water Advisory Board. Water, housing, jobs. Three states, and each time, people found common ground.
"Coming into this, I didn't think people with such different political views could agree on water policy. But after sitting down and looking at the data together, we realized we all want the same future for Nevada." — Angie Diaz, Civic Assembly Delegate, Boulder City 49 Nevadans. Three days. Six water policy directives — every one passed with supermajority support, across every political line. That's not a coincidence. That's what happens when people are given the time and the data to actually work it out. Next stop: Nevada lawmakers, ahead of the 2027 legislative session. South Carolina wasn’t alone. In Concord, 56 Granite Staters chosen by lottery took on housing. Agreement wasn’t automatic, but they settled on six directives, all with 70%+ support. The top one, at 84%: build the water, sewer and transit infrastructure new homes need.
"My son is a pilot who also teaches at a flight school. He works tirelessly, and yet homeownership is something he can't even dream of affording right now." Gina Offenstine of Laconia brought that story to our Civic Assembly. Over three days with Granite Staters from across the state, she found people ready to move past the politics and focus on solutions that could help real people like her son. It started with 45,000 South Carolinians saying what matters. This weekend, nearly 100 of them, chosen by lottery, sat down at one table. Different towns. Different politics. They didn’t agree on everything, but found recommendations 70%+ could back. Next: the State House.
CONSENSUS REACHED! 🎉 Over 3 days, 100 South Carolinians from all walks of life came together and approved supermajority policy proposals to improve opportunity and affordability for South Carolina's workforce.

2 weeks ago, a representative group of Nevadans from across the state came together to create and pass 6 supermajority-backed proposals to the legislature on water. Check out the full report at phase3.nvforum.org

The New Hampshire Forum has officially announced “Housing Affordability and Ownership” as the focus for the upcoming statewide Civic Assembly!
New Hampshire, you set the agenda. Now, the Civic Assembly has its focus: housing affordability and homeownership. This spring, thousands of Granite Staters helped identify the issues that matter most. This summer, people across the state came together in Community Conversations to dig deeper into four priorities and explore potential solutions. What we heard helped shape what comes next. From September 25–27, around 50 Granite Staters chosen to reflect the state will come together in Concord for the New Hampshire Forum’s Civic Assembly. Over three days, they’ll take on housing affordability and homeownership, hear from experts, weigh different approaches, and work across differences to develop policy proposals with broad support. Those proposals will then go to state lawmakers ahead of the upcoming legislative session. Want to see how we got here? Read our Phase 2 report: phase2.nhforum.us

Last week, @TheNVForum released its Phase 2 report, highlighting what emerged from two months of Community Conversations with hundreds of Nevadans across the state. Explore the new report, along with past insights:  nvforum.org/insights/
Nevadans showed up. In June and July, The Nevada Forum hosted 7 in-person and 8 online Community Conversations. Real experiences, real priorities, real ideas for the issues that matter most. We've captured what we heard in a new report: the common themes, the solutions people are already imagining, and the perspectives that set up what's next. That next step is a Civic Assembly, August 28–30, where 50 representative Nevadans will turn what you told us into policy recommendations. This is Nevada moving from conversation to action. Watch this space. Read the Phase 2 report at phase2.nvforum.org/
