If you're watching #Stolen, take a look at this map. Through my research, I try and illustrate just how easy it could be to be related to a child who died in a mother & baby home. This doesn't include the thousands born in them. You can see the map here: google.com/maps/d/viewer?mid…

Did any of your ancestors find themselves on the wrong side of the law? Were they involved in a shocking crime? We're particularly keen on instances where there was some doubt involved... We'd love to know πŸ‘€ ⬇️

Very pleased to report that the production company were able to send me a link to the episode of Finding Your Roots that I did some research for. So the good news is that I've now been able to watch the episode. In other news, they didn't actually use any of my research... 🫀

Last night I did an adoptee search for a bio mom, had no info whatsoever, just ancestry results to go off of and keeping the adoptee’s birth year/place in mind… used two matches which were 93cm and 22cm and found bmom within the hour. Nobody can hide from me πŸ—£οΈ – at Toronto, Ontario

I feel so lucky with the amazing volunteers I work with (usually daily) at @Project_Infant. Two weeks ago, I'd no idea what would be done. I'm uploading one county home, with another quick to follow. We've found almost 1.1K more names between the four more we have in progress.

Sorry #genealogytwitter I forgot my question on Monday! Masters work has taken over πŸ˜‚ My question is- how do you deal with tricky news with a client? Do you tell them beforehand? (I’m talking about something a recent ancestor did, not a guy convicted of a petty crime in 1700)
