In 1982 British filmmaker James Scott had made an Oscar winning adaptation of a Graham Greene novella. Adapting another Greene novella, this time as a feature length film, seemed like a natural progression of things. He had Greene's blessing to adapt his novella Loser Takes All.
On more than one occasion, I have wondered why Warren Beatty is sitting on the Dick Tracy rights. Now, thanks to Decoder Ring, there may be an answer.

In my new limited series, Stories My Brother Used To Tell, he was clearly not prepared secretly to drive a really big car at age 15. But did it anyway with less than ideal results. @descript

This season I had great guests sharing their personal experiences and experts giving perspectives. So thanks to @jfkenney, @billteck, @JoelGunz, @shawnlevy, @paxtonholley, @WhitStillman, @timwaggoner, @CSchlatter2000, @patrickgcooper, and @jamesscott3.
And of course there's those of you who bothered to listen. Or show support in some way, liking tweets, etc. A very big thank you to you as well. I've got some ideas for a season six. If you have any ideas as well, let me know. I'm always looking. Thanks again.
And one more, a thank you to @moviemakermag for continuing to host this show as well!
That's a wrap on season five people. Hopefully, I'll get back on to making more episodes soon. So I would like to offer up a little appreciation to those who helped make it happen.
Hey @Pod_Review here's something new!
All that James Scott had to do in order to get his modest British comedy made was deal with a producer named Harvey Weinstein, who as it turns out had a LOT of ideas on how this film should be made.
The latest episode (and last one for now) of The Industry takes a look at how a modest British comedy was turned into something else. And all but ended a career. James Scott joins me to help tell this story. industrypodcast.org/strike-i…
