🚨🚨🚨 Earnest thread alert! 🚨🚨🚨
I’ve been working on this for a few months and it’s finally done and out in the world. I’ve been thinking about belief, tradition, and faith basically my whole life; and I’ve been on a journey that will probably continue for years to come.
Going to a white church in a Black body. That's what our play-cousin J.C. Howard (@TheJCHoward) gets into on this week's episode. And J.C. digs into the spiritual journey of Dante Stewart (@stewartdantec), who started and ended in a very similar place.

If I ever deserved to be absolutely *dragged* for anything, it is this.
Thanks for having me @thecandicelim!

Also, for those who listened to the @pchh where I chat with @idislikestephen & @thecandicelim about the new @TheHungerGames movie, here’s the exact moment 3 years ago that I had that epiphany about BOSAS…

If you told me 3 years ago that @thecandicelim and I would be on the same show, I would not have been surprised at all.
But if you told me she’d be talking about having the hots for a sexy war criminal, I’d have said, “I expect no less.”

Late to the conversation, but @stewartdantec ‘s chat w/ @TheJCHoward via @NPRCodeSwitch on Going to a white church in a Black body is good! I was/am navigating aspects of it myself & trying to make sense of it in light of current “bridging” endeavors. Tension on multiple levels.
This is a link to part 2, but Part 1 is a MUST listen also. Miss Wilson is an absolute gem!

🎧If you've been following The King Road Killings, check out the fifth and final episode of season 1. And if you haven't listened from the beginning, you've got a lot of catching up to do. lol. Binge the whole season now.

Someone probably: There’s no such thing as a perfect Tiny Desk concert.
@juviethegreat: Watch me cook.
Let me say something clearly for those who think affirmative action gave Black people and other POC an unfair leg up (or at least gave the appearance of such):
I am Black.
I didn’t go to Harvard.
Because I wasn’t fucking qualified.
Ta-da.

Normally, I do not work on Tuesdays. But for certain people I will make an exception! For @idriselba I will wake up on my day off. You’re going to want to tune in to this interview on Sunday!
