Came out of retirement for a day to manage the @LaurelParkFC U11 Tornadoes in their match this morning. Fantastic bunch of kids who played great football, a real team effort. I can go back into retirement with a 💯% record 👍 💚💛
Absolutely excellent, silly fun from @AlexHorne and the @hornesection at the @Thehexagon this evening. 👏👏
31 years ago I started my degree at @sheffhallamuni, 30 years ago @JobsonClare started hers there. Today Isaac has smashed his A’Levels and will be off to #SHU next month 👏👏
Sheffield awaits a new generation of Jobson’s 🎉👨🎓

Finally made it to @ThatBeerPlaceHQ and spent a lovely couple of hours reminiscing with Dale - reckon we’ve definitely not aged a day since uni 😳
Fantastic final meet up with the @LaurelParkFC U18 Hurricanes. A 90min football match (going to feel it in the morning), picnic & game of rounders. One last gathering before the boys all head off for Uni, gap year or into work & one last chance to talk about the value of attitude
It has been an absolute pleasure watching these boys grow and develop over the last 12 years. They’ve been a fantastic bunch who have taught me far more than I’ve ever taught them.
Turning out in their suits for our final league game in May was a definite highlight 👌
And with that the @LaurelParkFC Hurricanes move on to pastures new and I’ll leave them with a quote that has always stuck with me which stresses the importance of attitude, commitment and effort over everything else.
💚💛⚽️💛💚
First saw @MrEdByrne 30 years ago at the @sheffhallamuni Student’s Union. He was the warm up for Boothby Graffoe. BG was the big headline, his career on the up - none of us had heard of Ed - he came out & smashed it. Graffoe on the other hand had one too many Stellas & bombed …
30 years later it’s @Thehexagon & @MrEdByrne has just delivered one of the best standup shows I have seen 👏👏
Do not miss it if you get a chance.
And this time it was @AmyFMatthews in the role of the fantastic warmup act 👏👏
Not the fairytale finish that the @LaurelParkFC Hurricanes wanted. But a fantastic performance against 2nd place @BurghfieldFC & a credible 2-1 loss.
The boys went out in style though, turning up to the game in their jackets & ties 👌
An emotional day 💚💛

Penultimate game for the @LaurelParkFC U18 Hurricanes tonight as we face @Maidenheadbgfc Colts.
Then it’s on to the Saturday’s game against @BurghfieldFC Buffaloes … the last ever as a team … reckon it might be an emotional one!!
💛💚

Lost track of the number of times we’ve seen @almurray live, always exceptional and absolutely smashed it at @Thehexagon tonight 👏👏
Having spent my formative years at @sheffhallamuni half a lifetime ago it’s great to be back today with Isaac for his interview with @ArchitectureSHU. Having mid-90’s flashbacks though 🤣🤣
Christmas Day number 2, let’s see if I can convince all the nephews and nieces that those are the names of Santa’s reindeer on my new @LASTEXITshirts t-shirt 🤣🤣
Great finish to the first half of the final season for the @LaurelParkFC U18 Hurricanes. A 2-1 win against @AshridgeParkFC in a really even match with great football from both sides. Now a couple of weeks off and then it’s the last handful of matches. 💚💛

Thirty years ago I came here as a student, today we’re back at @sheffhallamuni with the boy for an open day. Feeling nostalgic … and old 🤣👴🏻
