So far, the entitlement from the DbD Community is as follows:
-demanding the termination of an employee even after company states it was a team that acted and not her alone
-demanding the creator WHO THEY SLANDERED FIRST to publicly denounce transphobia and racism WHICH THEY BRANDED HIM WITH DUE TO BEING GIVEN PIXELS IN A VIDEO GAME
-some demanding ingame rewards because their feelings are hurt
-demanding the streamer's community apologize WHEN THE DBD COMMUNITY STARTED THE SHITSHOW
And yet you lot wonder why you're catching flak for making the claims of being "accepting" and "inclusive" when in reality your community is "judgmental", "petty", "hypocritical" and "self serving" at best.
Hey guys, I have some really important things to say about DBD.
Yeah, I don't give a shit that they gifted a popular streamer all the skins. I hope he had fun, and if didn't like the game, that's fine too.
I really cannot stand the social media DBD community. Yall cry over fucking EVERYTHING.
OK I didn't expect this tweet to blow up....
Hi, everyone that followed. Thanks for the nice comments, you the real ones.
Let me address a few things.
All the hate comments I received were from members of the DBD community.... Which included an enormous amount of slurs, hate speech, name calling, homophobic, and racist comments - all the hate you claim you wanted to avoid by having burnt peanut in your community is the exact hate you spread on my post. I honestly don't really care, but I find it so amazingly hypocritical. Do yall not realize that you hate on EACH OTHER more than any outsider would? There are entire YouTube channels created calling out the bad behavior of dbd players. End game chats are toxic and full of hate. You invade streamers channels to insult and berate them for how they played your video game, and then you come on social media and cry about a streamer you claim is a racist bigot (with no valid proof of which) and whom you worry is going to ruin a community you are doing a fine enough job of ruining all on your own. You've made the game unwelcoming to any newcomer and the entire gaming community now sees that.
1. I've been vtubing for almost 10 years... Started on facerig when no one knew what vtubing was and all comments were asking me how I was making the character move. Obviously, technology has improved over time and so has my models, to animaze with a leap controller, then onto a 3d model I made myself, and finally I paid my amazing artist to bring this model to life - including all 3 iterations of her.
This all brings me to my next point..
2. Over the last 20 years I've been drawing, animating, writing, digital design, streamer overlay commissions, etc. I've used many tools, from pen and paper to procreate, Adobe, etc. If I want to put art I OWN and MY OWN ART through Ai, then I will. AI is nothing but another tool for me. If you don't like it, move on. I'm not forcing you to look at it.
3. My characters NORSE-inspired braids are adorable.

Hey. @DeadbyDaylight yall did nothing wrong.
This weekend, a Dead by Daylight team member awarded in-game content and currency to a creator streaming our game. Although it is not unusual to unlock content to give creators discovering DbD a chance to have a sneak peek at available content, this decision was made without receiving appropriate approvals. Furthermore, the team member's subsequent comments and conduct do not align with Dead by Daylight’s core values.
When concerns about this decision became apparent during the stream, we should have responded by looking into these concerns, not dismissing them.
Unfortunately, we’ve now seen the fallout of this decision unfolding in many conversations across the DbD community. We appreciate and stand with our community’s willingness to ensure our shared values are being upheld, at all times, regardless of popularity, and we’re heartbroken at the inflammatory language now being directed towards our community.
At the same time, threatening employees will never be acceptable, and we’re asking everyone to stop engaging with these posts.
We apologize to our community for letting you down. We have already begun reviewing our internal processes to prevent an incident like this from happening again.

The DbD community at least has revealed that they are allowed to be toxic to staff members and other creators so long as it's them doing it and that the only reason they're angry is because they weren't gifted DLC content or invited to their Partner program when someone with 100x their viewers was.
Petty jealousy is never a good look on people.

More companies need to take up the mantra of "I will not negotiate with terrorists"
Burntpeanut isn't my kind of streamer, but he's big and will bring a lot of new blood in to DBD
A LOT of streamers get free stuff from BHVR so they can show off the game better to their audience
Go after the community members who are doxing people and sending out death threats just because a streamer they don't like was invited to play/advertise their game
Lot of grown ass adults acting like spoiled 3 year olds I swear
I love when someone makes a bold statement that is inherently false, then when you provide real reputable sources proving them wrong and ask them to backup their statement with a source, they basically just call you untalented trash and block you.
That means I win. :)
Hey guys. Did you hear I'm a poser?
Apparently having metalhead in my bio makes me one. I haven't heard the word 'poser' since high school.
I must have insulted their precious Sleep Token or something.... by simply existing.
Kids these days.

Why must we always pick a side when it comes to art?
AI Art
Digital art.
Traditional art.
Why does appreciating one have to mean diminishing the other?
They can all have their place in the same creative ecosystem.
Different tools. Different processes. Different skills. Different ways of turning an idea into something others can see, hear or feel.
Art doesn’t need fewer ways to create. It needs more. 🎨
Goth does not = emo.
There's no "rules" saying goths need tattoos or piercings.
Goth subculture evolved out of the post-punk era, you know, PUNK - fuck the rules, fuck social norms, etc.
Putting rules on the goth subculture is the opposite of goth.
Fun fact: I started Vtubing in 2018, before it was a trend, before it was popular, and when people didn't even know what a model was or how I was making it move on my screen.
"This is why vtubing should be gatekept". Okayyyyyyy.
Also idk what that first screenshot is.

I'm only problematic because I disagree.
But enjoy the blue checkmark while being "SooOoOoO Anti-AI".
(Quoting because I'm blocked lol)

If you post on X that AI is "bad" and how much you hate AI - and it's not lost on you that you're posting on a platform that develops it's own AI - and especially if you pay for a blue checkmark - just shhhh. You aren't anti-AI - you're just "AI is only ok when it benefits ME".

Genuinely, people who hate and scream "ai shouldn't exist in vtubing"
Or similar things in general
Don't understand one thing:
There is a whole community out there that loves AI.
Works with AI and evolves AI.
Yes I have shit on how bad AI can look sometimes, but from what we had a year ago to today? It's huge progress.
But I digress.
What I try to say is:
There are people who love ai. Nothing you will say or do will change it. There is a whole community that loves it.
Just like there are a lot of people who love human made art.
There are people who love both.
There are issues with AI. I won't deny it. But at the end of the day I do not think that fighting over it is worth it.
It's generally so much easier just to accept that this is a new, different niche, and just try to understand each other.
Seeing people fight and argue which is better is just... tiring...
Both AI and human made art has it's ups and downs. Thinking that one is so much better than the other is just ridiculus imo.
Anyways.
Hope this whole hate and war between art and AI will freaking end, because I love people on both ends, and it's truly sad seeing people argue over this.
Do the anti-Ai folks think people should quit their jobs if their employers develop or use genAI?
Or if they stay, are they lazy, trash, and getting dumber?
Genuinely curious...
