Exciting news from Mountain Ridge High School (Deer Valley Unified School District)! 🧬🔬
This week, Kim Rodgers’ Biomedical Career & Technical Ed (CTE) students blew us away with their "Shark Tank"-style bioscience projects! They pitched innovative solutions to real challenges in healthcare and bioscience—complete with prototypes—to an amazing panel of industry and community leaders.
A huge thank you to our incredible evaluators for sharing real-world insights and feedback:
- Joanna Yang Yowler, Project Manager @FlinnFoundation
- Shane Brown, CEO of @NurseIO
- Mark Paulsen, AZ Educational Foundation (AEF)
- Paul Carver, Deer Valley School Board Member @DVUSD
This hands-on experience was made possible through the Maricopa School Superintendent’s Exploring Pathways to Bioscience Careers program, supported by the Flinn Foundation.
Shoutout to our industry partners and Mountain Ridge High School for championing authentic, career-connected learning that’s preparing the next generation of bioscience leaders! 🚀
