🚨 $62 MILLION IN TAXPAYER MONEY. And apparently, even importing people into America has become a government-funded business.
According to a New York Post investigation, two Christian nonprofit organizations received at least $62 MILLION in federal funding over three decades to help resettle approximately 29,000 Somali refugees in Minnesota.
Catholic Charities and Lutheran Social Services were reportedly paid through government refugee resettlement programs.
Now, there's nothing wrong with Christian charity. Helping people in need is a fundamental part of the Christian faith.
But there's a BIG difference between charity funded by voluntary donations and resettlement programs funded by American taxpayers.
And while the funding itself doesn't establish wrongdoing, Americans have every right to demand accountability for how their money is spent.
Here's a radical idea: Before Washington spends millions resettling people from halfway around the world, perhaps it could show the same urgency toward struggling American veterans, homeless families, and seniors choosing between groceries and medication.
Charity is a Christian virtue. Government spending is a public responsibility. And taxpayers deserve answers.
