The big banks told us there was nothing to see so just move along, but an investigation by @USOCC found that big banks were making decisions about clients based on their political and religious leanings. @Chase, who debanked us, and the others owe an apology to their customers.
Despite denials from the big banks that it was happening, a federal bank regulator found that banks like @Chase were debanking clients due to their political and religious beliefs. Thanks to @rupasubramanya and @TheFP for staying on top of this story.

Appreciated the chance to discuss debanking yesterday with @RiggsReport. Big banks like @Chase denied they were doing it but their regulator found they did. No one should be denied basic banking services due to politics or religion. #FoxBusiness @TheNCRF

The big banks like @Chase kept denying they debanked people due to their political or religious beliefs but the @USOCC investigated and found otherwise. These banks benefit from taxpayer supported programs yet they betrayed the trust of the American people. #ChasedAway
The OCC’s supervisory review of debanking activities at the nine largest national banks it supervises found that these banks had policies that required, encouraged, or otherwise influenced banks to deny or limit access to financial services to Americans because of their political or religious beliefs or affiliations or their lawful business activities. A fascinating read on the 250th anniversary of American independence about the practical effect religious freedom and tolerance had on the war. #IndependenceDay #America250

Amazing victory at a federal appeals court for former flight attendants Lacey Smith and Marli Brown!
There’s still a long legal battle ahead. Next, we’ll argue the case before a jury and prove that Alaska Airlines violated the law by firing Marli and Lacey because of their religious beliefs.
The draft report with recommendations from @POTUS's #ReligiousLibertyCommission was just released. The 15 day public comment period is now open.

Our president & CEO Kelly Shackelford was just in the Oval Office delivering a draft of the Religious Liberty Commission’s final report. The report is filled with recommendations for protecting religious liberty in America!
“We are delivering recommendations to improve religious freedom for all Americans nationwide,” Kelly says, "and we have a President of action. This is a great gift to every American, and it’s especially appropriate on the 250th birthday of our country.”
Players should be allowed to freely profess their faith. Part of living in a free country is NOT having to support causes you oppose. @MLB and @SFGiants should show the same tolerance they expect from others.

Wall Street banks who debanked religious groups owe the public answers. @Chase debanked us and they have given us multiple changing reasons for why. It's time they stop making excuses and are held accountable for their actions. @USAttyPirro @USAO_DC

Anyone who knows @anilaali knows she is a wonderful woman full of compassion for others. Sadly, @ShahanaFromBK wants everyone to know she is vile and full of hate.
The First Amendment grants us religious freedom, but it has been the responsibility of brave men and women to protect it. Today we honor those who paid for the defense of our liberties with their lives. It is a debt we can never repay.
Every house of worship should be a safe sanctuary. Violence has no place in our society but targeting a religious community is especially heinous.

With Donald Trump on the ground in Beijing, just recorded a remarkable @schoolofwarpod episode on China's campaign of religious repression at home, and the strategic effects of that campaign, with Governor @SamuelBrownback. Will have the episode up ASAP.

🚨TODAY: The Task Force to Eradicate Anti-Christian Bias published a report detailing how the Biden Administration’s prosecutions, policies, and practices demonstrated anti-Christian bias throughout the federal government.
The report details the Biden Administration’s radical efforts to punish Christians and highlights @POTUS’s efforts to restore religious liberty.

The First Amendment is not just about the freedom to have our religious beliefs. It gives every American the guaranteed right to live our religious beliefs.
Key line from DOJ report: "The Biden Administration generally tolerated religious beliefs that were privately held but zealously pursued actions to limit Christians’ ability to act in accordance with their faith."
The First Amendment is about EXERCISING your religious beliefs.
It is alarming that these things could happen in America. The report may focus on anti-Christian bias but no religion is safe when a hostile government views peaceful religious adherents as the enemy. Religious freedom is for all Americans, regardless of their faith.
