I’m going to share this once. Some friends offered to do this for us. No one is under any obligation.
This time my family in going through something we’ve never been through. We’ve never had Brody need four surgeries in three months. We’ve never spent over two months away from home like we have to this year. We’ve never had to max out my wife’s PTO for Brody’s medical needs by July. We’ve never needed me to be out of my practice for 6 weeks to help care for my son because he is now a big boy that need two people to lift him in/out of his wheelchair, etc. We’ve never been in this position.
My ego pushed back against this for a long time. I don’t like asking for help. I don’t like feeling like we aren’t able to handle it. I hate all of it. But we had a lot of people ask how they could help us through this time and this is what our friends came up with.
No obligation. No expectation. Appreciation for any little bit. Love you all for all you’ve ALREADY done to lift us up during this time.

Since Kyle Kuzma was traded and Alexander Starr was sidelined with an injury, Washington #ForTheDistrict Wizards, Bub Carrington has been given an expanded role and has flourished…
In games without these mixture of players, Carrington is averaging 33 minutes per game with a 16% usage rate, scoring 13, 16, and 14 points in his most recent outings…
Furthermore, shooting guards face an extreme advantage against the Atlanta #TrueToAtlanta Hawks…
The Hawks defensively rank nearly dead last in the NBA at the shooting guard position, allowing an average of 24.36 points per game and 3.6 three-pointers per game (24th in the league) They also struggle at defending beyond the arc, ranking 29th overall…
This is significant because nearly 50% of Carrington’s points come from beyond the arc, and he scores an additional 26% of his points as a spot-up shooter—an area where the Hawks’ defense ranks 18th in the NBA!

In three games without Kyle Kuzma, Washington #ForTheDistrict Kyshawn George has flourished in his role—posting scores of 20, 17, and 17 points…
In two other games this season without Alexander, he recorded 11 and 17 points. Despite the Cleveland #LetEmKnow Cavaliers defense being one of the best overall, they struggle against spot-up shooters, ranking 20th in that category, which is where George scores 34% of his points…
Furthermore, the Cavaliers defense has difficulty against small forwards, allowing 22 points per game (23rd in the NBA) and nearly three three-pointers per game from that position (also 22nd in the league)

2024 Sports in Kansas 3A, 2A, 1A Assistant Coach of the Year Derron Reddick of Council Grove. Reddick, who serves as the defensive coordinator for head coach Butch Hayes at CG, helped lead the 2A Braves to their best season in school history. Reddick, a respected leader in the school and community, led the Braves to their first semifinal in football in school history. What is most impressive? Council Grove had a 1-8 record when this group of seniors were freshman and were one game away from playing for a state championship. Reddick has also been big in the development of the strength and conditioning program at CG. #sportsinkansas
