Crazy election day in Surrey. A Conservative candidate texts me video he says shows busload of NDP supporters coming here to vote. Can’t verify. Now Green candidate says his signs are popping up on lawns, but he nor his party put them up. Then who? Strange @SurreyNowLeader

This is a harbinger of things to come – not only is BC Conservative Party interim leader Lorne Doerkson avoiding media on election night, ⚠️ but some of his candidates are saying they won’t be available at all to comment! 😳#bcpoli #vanpoli

I gave in and voted NDP even though Eby needs to step down. John Horgan was a King. Eby? Biggest moron ever.

Your just as racist and entitled as she is.

This man shouldn’t run bingo night at his retirement home, let alone run the city of Surrey. Mayor Magoo is back

This is what happens when people dont vote. No matter what, its important to vote so we do not end up with an 82 year old in charge of a young and vibrant city

Interesting to me how many people complaining/commenting on election results but at the same time say they didn’t vote. You didn’t vote? Then no right to complain in my opinion. Why don’t more people vote? @JasJohalBC @steeletalk @PeterLepine @SelinaMRobinson

I need to keep quiet about who I vote for next week as I’ve been told I’m a racist white man if I don’t vote for Eby lol!

I do think McCallum’s physical health was the elephant in the room that no one wanted to talk about, why??? I’ve had skin cancer twice on my face, it’s serious, is this what he has? @bobmackin @steeletalk @GlobalBC_Comm
What the hell is happening with his face that you voted for Surrey? Will he last his term?

The latest numbers in Surrey, where McCallum wins and nearly all of his @safe_surrey council candidates are elected, too. Interesting night, for sure. The latest on @SurreyNowLeader here: surreynowleader.com/2026/10/…

Congratulations you deserve it run bigger!
Thank you, Port Coquitlam. I am deeply humbled and grateful for the trust you have placed in me once again. I love this community, I believe in its people, and I have never taken for granted the privilege of working on your behalf. To everyone who supported me, volunteered, knocked on doors, put up a sign, or simply offered a kind word along the way, thank you. And to those who voted differently, I want you to know that I work for you too. Every single person in Port Coquitlam deserves a Mayor who listens, works hard and puts their interests first. I’ve always believed that public service isn’t about titles or political ambition. It’s about people. It’s about doing what’s right, even when it isn’t easy. It’s about respecting the people who work hard every day, raise families, contribute to their communities and simply want a fair shot at a good life. Those are the values I was raised with. They’re the values that have guided me as Mayor, and they always will. We live in a time when too many people are losing confidence that government understands their struggles or is capable of making their lives better. I believe we can restore that confidence. Not through slogans or empty promises, but through hard work, competence over ideology, and results people can actually see and feel. That’s what we’ve worked to demonstrate here in Port Coquitlam. And it’s what I intend to keep doing. Tonight, I’m grateful for this strong vote of confidence from Port Coquitlam. I’m grateful for my family, grateful for this remarkable community, and grateful for the opportunity to continue serving the people and the place I love. Thank you, PoCo.
