Fire and rescue personnel, animal lovers, and Kochi Metro Rail Limited worked together to rescue the cat.
During the rescue operation, the metroโs power supply was switched off for 17 minutes so the operation could proceed safely. The team had to suspend the operation in the evening, and it resumed at 11:30 p.m., after metro services had ended.
Finally, at around 1:30 a.m. on February 22, 2026, the cat was safely brought down.
