After getting the job done in Australia against a tough Rams team, San Francisco followed it up with B2B games against Miami and Arizona. Even in those EASY spots, McCaffrey still managed 43 & 41 receiving yards. Now we get a game lined at only 2.5 points where the 49ers should need him for all four quarters. - The usage is also trending EXACTLY where we want it. McCaffrey played just 55% and 52% of the snaps through the first two weeks before taking a MASSIVE jump to 83% in Week 3. To me, that makes it pretty clear the first couple weeks were about knocking the rust off and slowly ramping him back up, not San Francisco planning on using some long-term committee. - When seeing 75%+ of the snap share, McCaffrey has cleared this line in 14/L18 games. It gets even better when San Francisco win by 5 or fewer, CMC is OVER this line in 7 STRAIGHT while averaging 66.5 receiving yards per game. That’s the exact type of script the books are expecting here with SF sitting as only a 2.5-point favorites. - Denver also just got COOKED by Kyren Williams out of the backfield last week. Kyren caught 6 passes for 70 receiving yards, his career-high, against this Broncos defense. Now they have to deal with arguably the best receiving back of this generation whose snap share is finally back above 80%. - I was initially leaning toward 5+ receptions, but McCaffrey absolutely does NOT need five catches to get us 40 yards. He’s caught exactly 4 balls in each of the last two weeks and still cleared this number in BOTH.
