Yesterday the regime executed Marziyeh Neyri yesterday, a young woman who was forced into marriage at age 17 and hanged for fighting back against her attacker.
Marziyeh was 18 years old when her husband's associate attempted to sexually assault her in her own home, in front of her husband. She grabbed a kitchen knife to defend herself. Her husband died in the struggle.
She told the court she had been repeatedly assaulted by her husband's associates before that day. Iran's courts didn't care.
The regime rejected her self-defense claim. Her attacker, who survived, took the stand and called her a murderer. The court believed him over her.
She was sentenced to death.
No clemency. No mercy. The sentence was carried out at Chubindar Prison in Qazvin.
Marziyeh Neyri never had a chance. Forced into marriage as a child under Iran's Islamic laws, she spent the few years of her adult life in a courtroom, fighting for her life after defending it.
She lost.
This is the Sharia Laws in Islamic Republic of Iran where a woman can be hanged for surviving.

NBC asked Mayor Frey if Walz did enough to stop Minnesota's fraud.
His first instinct? Talk about paid family leave and free school lunches.
When pressed again, he finally admitted:
"Obviously, everybody could have done more to prevent fraud."
Then came the best part.
Frey laid out exactly how fraud should be handled:
"You investigate it, you charge, you prosecute, and yeah, you put the person in jail."
Oh, so he does know how the judicial system works.
Would've been helpful to remember that before $9 billion walked out the door.
He ended by warning against holding "an entire community accountable for the actions of individuals."
Nobody's doing that.

ok. I tried. I really really tried...I did. But, having served in the military, I just can't let this one go...
When sitting members of Congress essentially call for a Military coup, that is military sedition which is punishable by death. That is not a threat. It is the law.
Numerous Democratic members of Congress looked into a camera and told service members they could start deciding for themselves which orders felt “illegal” without naming a single example.
They introduced fog into a system that cannot function with fog. They know exactly what happens when politically aligned troops start doubting lawful commands.
They did it anyway. The chain of command is not a suggestion box and they treated it like one.
And the part that truly erases whatever little respect I MAY have had left for them is this:
They just voted 14 times, yes, 14 TIMES, not to pay the very service members they now claim to defend.
They knew they would still have to report for duty.
They knew they would still face punishment if they did not.
They are the only people in America forced by law to keep working without pay and they leveraged that fact to play shutdown politics.
Spare us the pathetic speeches, social media posts, fb reels etc about being “threatened”, danger and sacrifice. Our US military members were living the consequences while the Democrats were turning their livelihoods into a negotiation chip.
They undermined clarity.
They undermined discipline.
They undermined confidence in lawful authority.
And now they are pretending to be shocked that citing the statute attached to military sedition has legal consequences, including death.
Democrats don’t get to flirt with sedition and then cry victim when the President points out what the statute says.
